Melbourne were able to succesfully argue to have a second team included into the competition somewhere, mainly by convincing the competition heads that NSW had three, and it's really really not fair, we want another team to. Demands of holding their breath for ever, breaking plates in the kitchen, and even running away for ever to see if they were still loved were eventually given into.
