Walker is a shocker and not an outside receiver like Stanton.

Walker's kicking isn't as poor as Stanton's and he's a better player and talent than any of Essendon's young midfielders.

Watson was dropped by Sheedy.

You want to see an A grade spud, take a look at Winderlich who can't kick to save himself and Ricky Dyson who is still on your list.

Dyson must have nude pictures of Horsborough to maintain a spot on Essendon's list.

I'm guessing you rate the likes of Alwyn Davey, Lovett-Murray and Lovett as better players than Walker.

Certainly was not the case this year. His kicking has been first class all year.

I named three players currently in the best 22, three players just outside, and three players who if don't improve will make way.

Thats a total of nine players, but really only six. Six out of a list of 44 is not a lot. I could have confidently named basically our entire list given the youth and talent of our squad.

But obviously that does not register with you so I will summarise for you.

I am expecting Chapman, Rooke and Kelly to be our big improvers in 2008 based on 2007 output.

I think that Hawkins, Prismall and Varcoe will be able to break into the side in 2008 and make a difference

I am hopeful that Blake, Hunt and Byrnes continue to improve because otherwise they may find it hard to keep their respective positions in the team.

Someone mentioned Watson - he's a bloke who might actually get to start some games on the ground! Was ranked in the top 3 in the AFL (IIRC) for possessions per minute on the ground. Will be a very important player for us next year, has had another solid pre-season & I expect him to lift his average possies (& hence clearances) on his 06-07 numbers (23ppg) a bit. Kicking is improving (slowly but steadily), before you all ask

Rhaan Hooper will be pushing for recognition as the best small forward in the game.

Courtnay Dempsey to show some exciting prospects if he can learn to kick and his hamstrings stay decent.
