Did i miss something? What did Buckley do? Why was everyone booing him in the last quater? i agree with ironic cheers when Rocca finally gets his hands on the ball, but booing Buckley? Come on guys lets not act like Adelaide/Sydney/Brisbane/West Coast/Port Adelaide/Fremantle supporters, we understand what a good player is. Imagine if it was Grant?

its a hard question to answer, i think cos he plays for collingwood is 50% of the reason but the other 50 im not too sure about

Wasn't there...just going on tv....

...but my lord does he winge and moan and YELL at umpires!!!

Will watch replay for exact times and players, but in the second half a Collingwood player had the ball, got tackled...the ball fell into the tacklers arms, who imediately got wrapped up, and Buckley virtually ran at the umpire, swearing, yelling for a holding the ball free kick!!!...(when, if anything it should have been holding the ball against Collingwood from the start.)

He's a soft, whinging toss-pot...his fitness and even skills deserted him today....he's a very good player, but nowhere near the champion everyone (including himself...and therein lies the problem??) makes him out to be.

Guessing people boo him 'cause he's a ****er....

(Grant is a highly respected player, and a genuine great guy to answer the specific question.)

If that was the case, why didn't be boo when any collingwood player had. It was really shameful. We had the game won, and earlier nobody was booing, it was harsh and unfair. I like to think we dogs supporters don't do that.
 
Yeah, fair enough...but as I said, Buckley (imo) is no champion.

You get the respect you give out....

Actually...(some weird memory thing here!)...Rd. 2 or 3 Buckley wrote in the Age about respecting umpires and how we should all get along...some ****y half page spread anyway...
...yet EVERY week he carries on like a moron. In the umpires faces, always hard done by, always in the right...

Don't get me wrong, I'm all for supporting the good guys too...but another example was Hird over the last 2-3 weeks....had a big cry 'cause Campbell Brown dived across his leg to smother...sooked NO END in Rd. 22!!!

There's champion players...sometimes they're champion blokes...sometimes they are wopping great sooks who deserve to be brought down a peg or two.

Just my thought...and again, I wasn't there...didn't boo...but laughed my head of every time Super Bucks turned it over on my tv...:thumbsu:
 
Bucks is gay. Every saturday he and Sheedy share a page where each write an article on football in general (how collingwood and essendon are the best). I boo him for wasting half a page of what is otherwise a great sporting paper.
 
I too thought it was a bit childish and unnecessary, and a bit embarrassing.

But quite funny too:)

Every play needs a villain. Football is theatre. And Collingwood were a farce.

I was booing him today. Now that I think about it I cant remember why. Im normally not a booer, but for some reason it all went to my head.

I told my daughter it is poor form to boo the other team unless they do something unsporting. But today I booed at Buckley like he was one of the umpires.

At one point I yelled out "Buckley, you're a thug and you have a head like a potato" which I thought was quite funny.

I booed everything today when I wasnt jumping up and down with glee.

Just one of those sort of days.

That was the pie fans booing - not the dogs (according to some MCC toffs). Not sure of the reason.

Pies won't win a flag as long as buckley is at the club.....like richo and the tiges. They are great players....and they know it.......and therefore they don't respect other teams or their own players. There is no Buckley in 'team'.

Well, I don't like bagging blokes cause everyones got the right to an opinion - but what a moron you've made out yourself to be Mr Christo. No Champion - Brownlow, Norm Smith (?), how many club B&F's - All Australian....you are a fool.

It would be like me saying Westy is Cr*p...just aint the truth...how about stop bagging Collingwood now you've had your win and get on with next week. And good luck to your team too!

Simply said, that in my opinion Buckley is over-rated...not saying he didn't deserve those awards either, but I don't think he has nearly as much impact on a game that people constantly suggest that he does.

Pretty sure I called him a wopping great sook too...'cause he is. :p

If I really wanted to bag Collingwood and particular payers I'd have gone on for a page and a half about those two "key forwards" that you guys seem madly in love with. Absolute duds the both of them!! ;)
