Needs to improve truckloads and trim down further but yes I could see an NBA team taking a punt on a big man with his physique.

dont even compare him to anstey, jawai is tough, physical, agressive, plays inside, gets most of his points of dinks-inside shot, ANSTEY is a great player but more of 3-man, shoots well,runs well....
JAWAI will certainly make the NBA and have more of an impact than Bogut in my opinion....

Does he normally struggle to get up and down the court? He looked not overly interested in getting back for defense in the all-star game, but I'm guessing that had a bit to do with the defensive intensity in those games.

I can't even almost agree with this, I think Jawai will make NBA, and do sweet FA, good player, not NBA good. His future is in Europe.

He is Indigenous and hails from Bamaga. Was brought down to Cairns to play with the Kuiyam Pride (now defunct Indigenous ABA program) and just things took off from there. Pretty sure he chose the Taipans over college in the US so he could be closer to family.
I'd say it would be NBA or NBL for him, as I can't see him leaving these shores for anything but the big time, as the European culture difference might be a bit much. You're right he is a good player, and has so much development left it isn't funny, as he has only played the game for 4 years.
