I'll let you in on a little secret.. little do people know.. Spartan IS Freako! :D :thumbsu:

My advice, this is what your team should look like:

B: Hodge, Goddard, Fisher, Gilbee, Cornes, Shaw, Drummond (P.Burgoyne, Newman)

C: Ablett, Bartel, Judd, Goodes, Cooney, Black (DalSanto, Cross)

R: Cox, Petrie (Sandilands, Hille)

F: Riewoldt, Harvey, Pavlich, Franklin, O'Keefe, Delidio, Goodwin (Chapman, Brown)

:thumbsu:

hmmm I like that side but question mark on Cox in the ruck...........

Do i want to pay $200k+ for a second year player when i can have players like Brown, Gumby, Walker, etc for $94k or a player like Yarran or Ziebell for a little more?

Nice work [insert Freako here]. I was going to write much the same thing...with a couple of numbers (which I won't bother now! :D)...

...but I've got a question for you real number crunchers out there...

...say, (purely as an example) Krackour, Ziebell and Laidler each play the first 8 rounds and each score 50 every single game.
Their price would plateau at around the 270 mark (give or take), but who would get there first?

The CrackWhore 'cause he's got less to rise, Laidler 'cause he'd be rising the quickest?...or would they all get there on the same week?

I'm assuming the answer is c) Eddie, but would just like to double check.

Thanks! :p

Interesting question and i see where you're going with this.

However one would think the capital cost up front + the resulting lower increase in value would mean the expensive option(s) are behind the eight ball.

You would only pick Kracks if you think he will score better than Ziebell and you would be planning on keeping him longer.

c) I think, but Kraks would get to 265k first ;)

Your last sentence I disagree with, well at least I think I do. I'd take Kraks because I want to keep him for shorter amount of time. Or maybe that is what you are saying reading it again. Clarify yourself!

Kraks would.

If the both averaged 50, player A started on 200k, player B on 100k, then they would take the same amount of weeks to make 250k, except player B would also need to add in the amount of weeks it takes them to get to 200k.

ie.
Round - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6
Player A - 200k - 225k - 250k
Player B - 100k - 150k - 200k - 225k - 250k

not that players ever get exactly 50 every week which is where inconsistancy can be a blessing with a cashcow...

I work for Vodafone and in my duties spoke to a player who shall remain nameless yesterday who reckons Krak came out of the Saints game with a niggle that may keep him out of Round 1.

Make of it what you will.

Good evening Mr. Williams. Are you tired of paying too much for long distance calls?
By the way, how'd Kraks pull up? :D

Thanks for the answers guys. Doing a bit of research on rookies, will share if make any sense of it.
