Elbow/shoulder and leg injuries kept him out of nearly every game for the last 2 years...
Edit: Oh, and nearly all VFL games cancelled this year, amd most of last year too...

They had offered him a contract. He declined.
Wants to play forward and they have Hawkins, Cameron, Esava ahead of him, with Esava offering ruck flexibility which Kreuger doesn't provide and we have Darcy Cameron (or Cox) for.
Used him as a backman instead.

I do think its a funny idea that Roughead, coming off a career year and having been fairly durable for us, somehow means he is on his last legs. He's 14 months older than Steven May.
