I'd prefer to have Smit on the list than Teakle though and I don't think we'd carry Steene, Teakle and Smith.

Might as well even IF he last 1 year like Eyre though we might not Picked Smit in the MSD with Teakle at the Club already

He could barely get a touch in the VFL, looked terrible in some of his games if we're being honest.
To be honest Peter McKenna and Gordon Coventry would have struggled playing FF in our VFL side with how bad we were this year

He should never have been added at that time after that injury. It’s not fair to him and inefficient for us.

I don’t know. I thought the Pies would give him a year given we picked him up knowing he would miss a good block of the season.
For us to delist him at the 1st opportunity suggests to me that either his injury may be an ongoing issue, or they saw enough of him to know he isn’t AFL standard.

From the games I saw, it was the same as reported on the bombers board (gets first hands to it and drops everything).
next year, we need available players who can provide depth at AFL level. Not project players.
assuming we go tall in the draft, then why keep another project player?
Fill his spot with a project tall in the draft that we don’t have a good understanding of.
Good luck to him, close, but not quite at AFL level across his multiple years on a list.

Agreed. VFL side was a debacle. Having to constantly source unlisted players to come and fill in, against teams like werribee/southport/port melbourne who are all paid well to stay/train/play together all season. Even preston frankston and coburg get to keep all their players without having to chop or change the side.
Im concerned with how many of our draft picks are missing rather than hitting, at a result of not being developed right. VFL program needs to lift.
