The best sports game series on the planet returns. 2K15 was the best sports game I played. I had a Cleveland MyGM going. I played 2 82 game seasons (12 minute quarters). Although I finished 35-47 in the first one and lost my first round series 4-1 in the second one.

Taking the meta point of view 2K15 went AGAINST the trend of microtransactions which ruined 2K14. Unlike EA, they've listened to feedback.

A few improvements have been snuck out.
  • Crowd has been improved.
  • Something big happening with AI.
  • Improved animations.
  • Classic teams (99-00 Raptors- Vince and TMac)
Mike Wang gave a brief interview and teased a massive improvement. It's 2 words but they kind of blurred out. Theories abound.

IMO it's either body scans or physics engine.

I loved 2K15 (skipped 2K14 aside from downloading the free copy on the PSN many months ago), however it didn't quite hold my attention enough to keep playing long term. I juggled it with Fifa at first, managed solid play time in both. Then I focused on one game at a time and 2K15 fell by the wayside, I have not played it since January.

In contrast 2K10-12 were played almost nonstop until the following years release. I slowed down with 2K13, managed to squeeze out multiple seasons in mycareer and some association seasons as well.

Will consider it. Felt that 2K15 was a step in the right direction - microtransactions were no longer as obnoxious as during 2K14. Would like to see some fairly decent improvements to continue buying them on a yearly basis.

2K15 was a big disappointment in my opinion. Basically was the reason I upgraded to next gen, yet I fell out of love with the game after about a month.

MyGM still becomes way too boring after a few seasons I think, MyCareer is just bland and could do with a lot of work. Online is broken and shooting a jumper is almost impossible.

Would love for them to bring back online associations. My mates and I were so keen for them in 2K15.

This is probably my issue with the 2K games. It's usually more fun starting up a new team/career and playing out a couple of seasons, but after a couple it gets boring, so I start a new one.

Though when I eventually upgrade my console during the year, I'll inevitably pick this up anyway.

They tried to make the MyGm feel less boring with the social media aspect with future draftees but every year it was the same thing. Add to the that the fact that every generic player still looks the same, has nothing unique about the way they play and all do the same thing on the court and MyGm can just suck to play.

hope they reward people better in myteam. their packs are usually pretty decent but players should get higher numbers on the contracts, and the challenges should be much more rewarding. having to play 3 games and getting like 500 points is just crap.

Would like to know what posters think of this. I was thinking of how to upgrade the mycareer mode.
The difficulty setting should determine on how your stats start are and what number you are drafted.

Easy - Late round pick
Medium - Late top 10
Hard - Pick 2-3
Superstar - #1, All the hype etc

Needs to be more cut scenes aswell to keep you interested.

"We added MyCareer in 2012, and we've always been trying to make it more and more of a real story, like a film with drama," 2K spokesman Ryan Peters says. "We just told Spike, 'You transform the narrative, and we'll change that into digital polygons.' And he did that, bringing a protagonist and antagonist to the story."

Peters says Lee shot what amounts to 90 minutes of "cinematic narrative," which translates to about 12 hours of in-game drama.

Hearing that its all "about the story" of the life of an nba player according to Spike Lee. This, along with all the covers featuring the athletes playing for their college teams, I'm hearing and hoping that there is more content based around College and maybe high school ball
