2K's servers have been horrid for as long as I can remember (2K8)
That's pretty concerning for the genre...
I wasn't hinting at that, I was remarking that the fact that 2k is the most innovative, it paints bad signs for the genre. They're super iterative.
i.e the sports game genre plateaued years ago and is only good for small graphical enhancements.

Just saying the shoes in Madden 15 are terrible. Like little boats on the bottom of their feet. So a shoe improvement is good.
That's what happens when a developer has no competition. If EA ever made a decent NBA Live game then I suspect that 2K would suddenly solve their network issues.

2K basketball games were definitely moving forward at the fastest pace when they were in the mode of wiping NBA Live off the map.
Then they stalled.
Thankfully NBA Live is back and looks less horrid than its first outing, so there may be some true competition again.
Um it's still trash and still looks like trash.

The first one on PS4 was god awful but the trailers for the newer ones at least looked next-genish. Never played them though.

all the info about myleague is amazing. hopefully they can pull it off. completely building practically a whole new team and actually having to consider pros/cons and other variables.

I love the fact that teams will have overall goals (contending/cost cutting/ going young etc) and will make roster changes based on this.
This came about in a thread on Operation Sports. Leftos (the association developer at 2K) asked for ideas, and this kept coming up in posts from fans.
Every NBA fan should be lucky their sports game has an amazing development team.
