Back in Hobart seemed to get them up and about. Bloody hell Doyle has been frustrating, couple of days ago he looks like he's back dropping 30 and then follows up with 3..

Krslovic an impressive 0-14 for the week lol

If the Sixers close the gap between their best and worst then they will be hard to stop.

Even in the first 5 mins today they looked off, then were never really challenged again.

Martin was moving better, DJ’s shot returned and Davis and Harrell continue to fight for the MVP favourite title

Humphries has some really weird patches in games. If he hits form with other guys staying hot, we'll be tough to beat. Just our bad games are really bad

Trez has been amazing, the crowd lights up every time he touches it, he's bloody popular. I hope he's telling friends back home the NBL is a good place to play...

Stack of players our of contract who would be good/great here. Covington, Fultz, Crowder. I'm sure there are plenty of others in similar positions looking for a pathway back to the NBA

He just seems to completely give up at times. Not always, but he just drifts off or fails to compete

Its like he can't handle mistakes and he dwells on them leading to more

Bit of a mental midget? If he played like a dominant big man, switched on, he'd be near unstoppable. He just doesn't seem to believe he can do it all the time

He’s had far too long a career playing some high level basketball, so may just be a form thing as well.

Anyone see the new 12k indoor Gold Coast Arena that's been proposed over the last few days? There's no doubt in my mind that this venue will be home to an NBL team in the near future. It would be the third largest NBL venue behind the Sydney Superdome and Perth Arena. I'm already having visions of local boy Jack McVeigh coming home from the NBA to be the marquee signing for us and it shouldn't be too hard to convince talent from around the world to sign a Next Stars contract with us. Let's do it.

Well, I guess someone has to play there. Call them the Gold Coast Blaze?

Not sure of the viability of three Queensland teams, looking at a poorly performing cairns and a Brisbane team hardly lighting it up. Brisbane (along with Illawarra) can’t even secure a front of jersey major sponsor.

I've seen suggestions that the Rollers may return, but that can obviously change.

Gold Coast basketball is much stronger these days (Mayor Tom Tate keeps reminding us lol). Local schools TSS and Hillcrest won the U19 & U17 national championship last year in the male & female divisions and obviously Jack McVeigh is a product of the city. Plus, I would have thought it wouldn't be too hard to convince some decent international players to sign up to play on the GC.

How many sports teams need to die on the GCS before people realise it's not really worth the hassle?
Coupled with Brisbane struggling? Not sure that's the best expansion spot

Geelong, Canberra? Do we need to expand at all?
The reason the Blaze died was because rent at the Gold Coast Convention Centre was too high. That won't be an issue this time around with the council willing to cut them a very good deal in this new arena. It's been 10+ years since a pro sports team has died on the Gold Coast and the population has grown more than 20% since then. The Suns and Titans are both starting to sell out games on a fairly regular basis and overall it's just a very different market to the one the NBL dealt with 12+ years ago.

so Rob Edwards gave the refs a blast in their own rooms after a game. I didn’t see much coverage of that until pregame when the commentators mentioned his one match ban

Personally I think the return to 14 teams with everyone playing each other twice would be good for the League. It keeps the schedule at 28 games. The teams I would like to see are all old teams. The returns of the North Melbourne Giants (all though that probably can't be done now days with GWS), Newcastle, Canberra and Geelong.

Actually perhaps a 15th team and a 30 game schedule by giving Darwin a team (if viable). Beat the AFL to that market as well.

15 teams would be 28 games as you dont play yourself.

Don't make the same mistakes the A-League has done cramming in melbourne and sydney teams!

Darwin isn't viable IMO. No imports would live there, no good players would live there over any other team, tiny population, expensive flights. It's got no chance

Bring back the Pigs.
Have them based in Liverpool or Penrith.
