Should've been started last week with the season over for alot of schools who should now be focusing on next season.
Guess I'll start it now.

From this years 8 man rotation
1. Marks (So) - He's almost the full package already, just needs to add consistency.
2. Elloriaga (Jr) - Great 3 point specialist
3. Hadziomerovic (So) - Great defender, not that great offensively
4. Drmic (So) - Not as good of a distributer as Marks, but is more consistent and is better on the boards
5. Watkins (Jr) - Great on the boards, alright offensively. Horrendous free throw shooter
6. Thompson (R-Fr) - Not great, but not bad, it's only potential right now. Hoping next year he can be a 10-12 pt a game player
7. Buckner (Sr) - Graduates
8. Bropleh (Jr) - No offence to the guy, but he shouldn't be in the rotation. However, he will remain to as there's no gaurd coming up and biting at his feet.

So 7/8 guys coming back and they will all improve.
1 very good man coming in.
Edmunds Dukulis. Forward out of Latvia where he played. He sat out this last season as the first half he was held out pending an NCAA investigation to payments while playing in Latvia. Eventually he was cleared, but Leon Rice kept him redshirted. Should be straight into the starting rotation next year.

We have a few other 'ok' recruits coming in, but not stars, serviceable, 1 maybe 2 might get game time. But nothing major.

Well, bring on the new season.
284 teams already eyeing off the 2014 title, while 63 wanna-be's and 1 champion eye off 2013.

Could've started the thread with a general post. Maybe the dates of the early season tip off tournaments and conference realignments.

2012-13 thread - Starts with Big East talk by a fan from the Big East
2013-14 thread - Starts with MWC talk by a fan from the MWC

What's the difference?

Conference realignment affects everyone. No one gives a shit about the returning players for some irrelevant school.

My first post was a massive news story about the realignment of a major program. Not a roster breakdown of a team.

If I was not on iPhone I would post the early season tournament schedules and participants. Maui looking the pick of early season games again.

Seriously, the biggest tournament in college hoops has just begun and you start this thread? Perhaps you could re-title it "The Boise State Perspective"

No, it'd be more like saying the 14 not in the prelims are more focused on their own teams the following season not the final 4.

Not really unfathomable

Probably a tad soon ;)
Like I said, as the vast majority were eliminated last week, should've been then.

I'm a little suprised it took this long to be started.

It also seemed like a back handed jibe at the ACC which we all can enjoy.

Would guess australian club teams...they might be able to work that easily if they do a fall break at some point

So with New Mexico losing both Steve Alford and his son Bryce to UCLA it will be interesting to see if the Lobos may get one the other way with the promotion of Craig Neal to head coach his son Cullen may commit with them.

I must admit, seeing the Lobos get weakened is makign me happy.
They were Boise's main competition for MWC champs next season ;)

Not liking the Pac-12 get sme good coaches though.
I enjoyed laughing at the conference the last few seasons.
Now mWC might be relegated back to #2 in the West :(

PAC 12 have shown they were a much better conference from their Tourney performances.

Maybe 4th behind ACC?

The tourney arguement is flawed.
Some conferences have a few standouts then a tonne of crap. But the few standouts carry the dead weight along with them.
Some conferences are stacked with above average teams, but have no standouts, so they lack the perception that they're good.

Atlantic10, BigEast, BigTen, Pac-12 - They have 3-5 very good teams and then a tonne of shit
ACC, SEC, BigXII- They have 1-2 very good teams and then a tonne of shit
MWC - Full of above average teams.

Put the #1, 2, 3 and sometimes #4 MWC teams up against the equivalent placing against the other 7 conferences named, they'd probably go 0-4, maybe 1-3 against them.
But the 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9 positions. The MWC would probably go 3-2, 4-1 and maybe 5-0 if a team manages to choke vs Nevada.

MWC is easily the most even top 10 conference in the land.
Top end talent? No (which will be our downfall in the Tourney for the next 2-3 years while teams try and strengthen the collective conference weakness.....Big men)
But we only have 1 shit team, rather than the 4-6 that the other major conferences have.

How can you possibly say that when the Big East had nearly as many tournament bids than you have total schools. Same with the Big Ten.

Obviously when you have 15 schools, there will inevitably be some schools that majorly struggle, but when a conference can have 10 teams separated by 4 games. The Mountain west in comparison, had their 9 schools separated by a 10 game margin. 5 teams were within 4 games of #1.

Ouch, I just hurt my head with the velocity of my hand on that facepalm.

****ing hell, that is the most ridiculous arguement I've ever heard.
You're comparing apples and oranges.

Love the blatant example of bowing down to public pressure r.e Mike Rice @ Rutgers.

Pernetti saw the video, slapped him with a fine and a suspension, and then months later when the video get's aired on ESPN he's made to get Rice the sack.
