We were looking for a hard runner. The problem when you observe a fitness fanatic in the juniors, its hard to judge whether they are legitimately winning the ball through reading the play or their fitness is doing all the work. We rolled the dice. Unfortunately fitness players are found out at AFL level because it evens up and fitness is no longer the pure advantage it was. We lost. We are still losing.

McHenry has good endeavour and running capacity. He is an honest trier I guess. Just lacks the talent to take his game to the necessary level.

He has lots of mates in the media. It’s a shame because he is good on radio and we need a few ex crows in the media to back us up the way others do.
But we don’t them that badly.
Probably see the one good thing he does but never the other ten horrendous ones.
I hate how we justify a player being selected because they run or try hard.
Every time he gets near the ball, he is 99% of the time a hinderance.

I remember when I put down McHenry and Schoenberg as depth players at best in 2021 and i got laughed at. Good times.
