Negative/Positive impacts of DT on AFL

I prefer the champion data method - hence supercoach should be the real deal, not DT.

That way effectiveness of possies and contested possies, etc score more, and flubbed kicks do nothing. It's a more accurate representation of a better player.

Pros -

• Interest in games you otherwise wouldn't watch or care about.
• People probably know more about players, do research on them.

The only difference is, I have always had a stupid interest in the rookies. I guess it was one of my dream jobs for many years.....

I agree,

Many dt coaches put serious amount of time in analysing other teams and their players and then follow the games on the weekend, be it on TV, Radio or places like FF.

Can you really follow games on FanFooty though? Half the discussion is based around whether or not [player x] has been dragged because he hasn't scored in the last 3 minutes.

Ok, its made me had a much greater interest in the game. From the NSW scholarship players, to the U18 Champs, to the Draft, to rookie draft, to the rising star! ...
