hahahahahaha.....we finished above the BEST young List in the land?

The best young list of all time?????

hahahahahahaha

why did scully say he left because of the culture of the place?

hahahahahaha.......

Do we get these sort of rights on your stinking board?

dont let the door hit your arse on the way out........delusional...what?

I certainly don't think Melbourne has the best young list in the land, unless you are implying that you think Richmond does that is.

Scully said nothing about culture, but I do agree that's an aspect Melbourne need to work on.

Richmond might need to as well, just quietly.

We welcome reasonable discussion on the Melbourne Board, but admittedly our mods have had their guns at the ready since the Bailey sacking.

Either KB is full of shit or Richmond must have offered a complete pittance to him.

I don't believe that 'sappy bullshit' at all, but thanks for making an assumption.

Of course, we offered more money, that's a factor.

But I think Craig is significantly more suited to Melbourne's role than a 'senior assistant' position at Richmond.

I could mention another couple of reasons, but I doubt they will be well received.

The job we wanted him for as senior assistant, 200-250k is plenty enough. Wouldn't want him if we had to pay as much as what you supposedly have.

Back in 97/98 he was credited with being a big part in the Crows premierships due to his background however the last 7 years he was the senior coach of Adelaide I think it fair to ask did he keep up to date with his sports science or did it drop off due to him being more focussed on coaching. Or did he keep up at the expense to the detriment of his coaching.

I believe that Melbourne wanted their man and tailored a job to suit him and Richmond had a position and went for someone to fill it. Then comes the money. Whether he gets what his position is worth or a bit more to ensure he took the role we were offering him the money we felt warranted for an assistant coach of course different roles would mean different money amounts.

Personally I would have been happy enough to have taken a chance on him with his sports science background but as an assistant coach I am happy he didn't come.

Yep, that's pretty reasonable.

I havent spent teh last preaseason, telling all and sundry that we have the best ever young list assembled since the begining of time......unlike supporters of a particular club.....btw do you guys have a permanent base yet..........the last club that moved around like you guys isnt in the AFL anymore.........

But then again , your members did vote to put you out of existence.....

Craig was apparently super impressed with our facilities.

I'm not to sure about the age of the list, but I'm pretty sure ours is the youngest bar the GC in the competition.

Albeit that's probably splitting hairs, and it's quality that matters.

Scully is gone, that's true. We have been compensated for him, hopefully we can use that well.

Royal coached the Saints midfield in 09 and 10. What a shit coach! ;)

I like a lot of Richmond's players as well, the reality is that despite an outstanding top 5 or 6 players, the bottom half of your 22 needs a fair bit of improvement IMO.

Any chance you can actually prove you have the youngest list? I mean I believe you because I am sure you wouldn't come into another teams forum and speak shit.

When a failed Head Coach who's methods worked well over 10 years ago is most likely on more coin then your Head Coach then you know something's wrong.

If what is being reported is true and Craig is on 400k then that would put his pay packet well ahead of Hardwicks, no thanks.

And I also don't know why everyone is talking Craig up like he's some sort of magician when it comes to sport science, is everyone forgetting the amount of soft tissue injuries Adelaide suffered over the past few years? Or how about when his own players had to step in and ask him to lower the amount of training the players do, or how about the fact that Adelaide can never seem to be able to finish off a full game and constantly fall over in the 4th quarter.

He's no saviour and for 400k I'm glad he's nowhere near our club.

I calculated it earlier in the year, give me a few minutes.

so there is no dispute about Melb having the greates young list ever assembled sinc the begining of time then?????????

For you to have calculated it earlier in the year there MUST have been a reason.

Whas that for the thread .....We have the best young list?

Melbourne's is 22.75. (1023.5 total age/45 players)

Richmond's is 22.82 (1027 total age/45 players)

So really splitting hairs.

If anyone wants to double check that, go for it.

Are you having trouble reading?

would you like an appointment with an optometrist?

I thought my post was fairly easy to read.

Would you like it in a bigger font?

Either you didn't read my post quite carefully enough or your post wasn't worded clearly enough.

:thumbsu:

Careful on what you say everybody, we got a gutless w***er quoting posts here out of context for some cheap laughs that is to scared to say anything here so says it standing behind the safety of the Melbourne board mods.

Hi Cowboysfromhell I know your reading you deluded idiot:thumbsu:
If you had a clue my posts you quoted one was a clear tongue in cheek comment hense the :p
And the other one was a true statement, we didn't want Neil Craig as a fitness guru you deluded moron as we have a partnership with a US academy who are better resourced in this area then Neil Craig.
