With Port Adelaide now playing a minute or two of this song to get the fans and the players pumped up and firing just before bounce down, and the fans holding their scarves in the air EPL style, I wonder if this is going to be the norm from here on?

It got me thinking. Should all clubs adopt something like this?

Is there a particular song or music that supporters would like their club to play for a minute or so just prior to bounce down? To get the place all fired up?

I remember at the 2012 Grand Final, Hawthorn were playing M&M's 'Lose youself' just before the first ball up and just before all the quarters starting.

Was this a Hawthorn thing? Or was it an AFL finals thing for 2012?

Personally, I would like the Swans to play The Alan Parsons Project's song 'Sirius' just before the first bounce to get the SCG pumping.

It's a terrible attempt at ripping off a very good Anfield tradition. I sincerely hope they end it immediately and offer an apology to all fans of sport.

Liverpool aren't the only team in world that do it, they're not even the only team to do ynwa. It's hardly a rip-off.

To be fair, lots of teams sing "You'll Never Walk Alone" before games. If they did the same I wouldn't mind so much but clearly ripping off the tradition with a different (but kind of the same) song is the shit part.
