Old news, Witts played some VFL games later in the season. We all have big hopes for him, or at least I do! But I know not to get too carried away just yet...hard to hold back though! He is a monster! :D

May see a few games this year as a fwd, wouldn't expect a heap from him for at least a few years though, very, very promising.

Is this a done deal? The article seems to indicate it is (i.e. "already snared"). My understanding was that he is a NSW scholarship player and that we were waiting for him to commit to us. Sounds as though that might have happened. If so, excellent news!

He will be taken with probably our last pick in the draft as well. I think it was Hine or another Collingwood official that said he'd have gone top 10 in the draft. Good pickup but like all ruckman, will take time.

I know he trains at the Westpac centre judging by the videos provided by CTV. He's also a lot more involved with the players and is viewed on CTV more than any other NSW scholarship so I imagine the club wants him to feel at home as soon as possible.

He has been at the Club since the Start of the Season Training and Then Played U-18 Champs then played in the VFL

lol, has a guy who hasn't played a game, let alone been added to list been talked about on here as much as witts? i'm more interested in the clarke aspect. i wonder what GWS kid we'd have in mind?

Can he play football?

can someone please link a video of him? very curious
This was probably Jarrod's best game of the VFL season. (All be it he only played 5-6 towards the end of the year after the under 18 champs).

We can allocate whatever pick we want in the national or rookie draft to him as long as he agrees to become a Collingwood player. It's his right to go into the national draft if he chooses to. I don't see why he would though. I suspect he will be rookie listed.

Depends how Bucks and Hine rate him.

How Hine talks about him I reckon he be on the Senior List

I think he will be rookie listed mainly because we will have a fit Jolly and Wood next season and the AFL rules allows a team to promote a rookie listed player prior to the half way mark of the season, even without an injury to a senior player.

Jolly fit next year isn't a given. His knee injury is degerative and doesn't look like its ever gonna fully recover, he reinjured it 3 times this year and his just gonna have to play with it next year hopefully its better and managed better but Jolly will most likely be on his last legs next year.

We need to go ALL out for a very good ruckmen this trade period (Mcintosh, hille, Clarke) i reckon.

I think it has been coverred in another thread. But Witts can decline our offer of a rookie list (which would include poor play and a limited outlook on a first year berth), I would assume we will have to offer him a senior list and I would be very happy if we did.

He can also decline our offer of a senior list to wage his bets on making it to a sydney club, but I highly doubt he would given he has basically trained with the Pies all year.

Well I can see him knocking back a Rookie List Spot but I doubt he would just Leave because he want to go Home as he been at the Club all year and I have not heard of any worry's about him
