That is an impressive precinct, but... why are there 4 train stations about a kilometer or more away from it all? That's a significant hike no matter how you chose to go. Why wouldn't they move the exhibition train station to the underpass? Or build a new one? There's going to be major events there ongoing.

The Exhibition station is usually only used for the Brisbane EKKA and some other events during the year. It's not a regular station on the network. It will be when Cross River Rail project is finished later 2025.
They are in the final stages of finishing a major rebuild of Exhibition Station, so it won't be moved as you have suggested.

In my opinion they do need a new train station at the proposed Victoria Park Stadium site.
The rail line runs past the proposed stadium site so only a new station is needed. They are not cheap though.
The other stations are too far away for most people to walk especially the older and impaired people.
Also cricket in Brisbane's summer is usually very hot and humid.

I intend putting in a submission to the Authority running the 100-day review in a few days' time.
Today i actually checked Arcadis travel times to stations as i was sure they just did them via google maps which is okay for a guide. But nothing beats actually walking the route.

Exhibition Station: Arcadis 10 minutes – Me 17 minutes (extra 70% travel time). There won't be any traffic lights if completed. A fairly flat walk.
Roma Street Station: Arcadis 15 minutes – Me 22 minutes (extra 47%). 3 traffic lights to cross. A little hilly.
Fortitude Valley Train Station: Arcadis 20 minutes - Me 23 minutes (extra 15%). 4 traffic lights to cross. A little hilly
Central Station: Arcadis 20 minutes – Me 30 minutes (extra 50%). 4 traffic lights to cross. Very hilly
King George Square CBD: Arcadis not mentioned - Me 34 minutes 6 traffic lights. A little hilly.

Yeah, I did assume it was a special events type line, similar to showgrounds/flemmington racecourse in Melbourne, just because when I lived in Brissy I remember all the lines converging in the corridor south. I didnt know the cross river rail was makign it a permanant station though! Perhaps some of the other lines could have trains run through it on game night (or at lease shuttles from the main line?)

Buteyah, hopefully they do build a new one just for the stadium then, as thats a long walk for tens of thousands of people otherwise.
