New coaches - Who do you want?

Patch and Lynch are the only ones left from the Noble days. At this stage I doubt either will be moved on
If you’re going to lose anyone it will be Lynch back to the Crows as for Adams 3 things could happen.
1:He stays where he is.
2:His moved on by the club.
3:Goes to another club.
4:Gets the VFL gig.
5:Appointed to a new role within in the club EG:Academy at Arden Street.

l want a new forwards coach that can stop our players from all jumping up at the same time and spoiling eachother. l know some will say its the delivery into the forward line but our forward line needs to have some sort of structure and ours doesn't..so for me its bye bye Xavier Clarke...

Who is the senior assistant coach or we don't have that structure?
Shannon Hurn available?

My wish list:
Clarko
Mark Williams (Head of Development/Skills coaching).
Simmo - Snr Assistant (game strategy/coaching innovation)....and plan B.
Shannon Hurn (defense and leadership).
Mick Barlow (midfield and stoppage).
Bob Murphy (forward/skills/leadership).
Monkey (ruck/food taster).

lm not sure about Bob Murphy as Forwards coach. He's played most of his game in defence but l like the rest..

I highly doubt they would move on anyone who they brought in last year. So you’d think Barlow, Marcon, Lienert, Clarke and Adcock are all safe.

Leaves only Lynch and Adams. Lynch by all accounts is very highly rated both internally and externally. Highly doubt we push him out the door.

Reckon Adams could potentially be moved on for a more experienced assistant if we decide to do anything at all

Thurs and Shields into List Management, what other positions do we have in the general football department we need to cover?

Agree there wont be many major changes particularly with the new coaches likely being contracted for 2 years. Id Adams moves it will be the 3rd coach for the midfield in 3 years after Russell was moved on last year. With that said, I think we can sell it to the players if the its a highly touted/experienced assistant from a strong program or a former senior coach. Cameron Bruce, Stewart Dew and Adam Simpson would be great and have previously worked under Clarkson, though the latter two might have higher ambitions. Scott Selwood and Nigel Lappin the two assistants off the top of my head i would definitely go after.

At the moment we don't have an official senior assistant coach. From my understanding though, Jed Adcock would be the man with the most authority. I've been told that he was a big reason why Clarko abandoned the defensive structure we seen in the first half of the year.

Also confident that Barlow isn't particularly interested in being line coach at this stage of his career, really focused on his development role, as that's where his passion lies.

Current Arrangement:

Senior Coach - Clarko
Midfield Coach (Assistant) - Adams
Forwards Coach (Assistant) - Xavier Clarke
Backline Coach (Assistant) - Jed Adcock
Ruck Coach - Damian Monkhorst
Head of Development - Michael Barlow
VFL Coach/Development Coach - Tom Lynch
Development Coach - Emma Kearney
Development Coach - Adam Marcon
Development Coach/Indigenous Player Development Manager - Jarrod Lienert

With what we are paying Clarko, I'm not sure we'll have room in the soft cap for a high profile senior assistant. The club is very very happy with all the coaches they put on last year which includes: Clarke, Adcock, Barlow, Marcon, Kearney and Lienert. Lynch is widely recognised as a future senior coach with how much he is rated.

Does Lynch step up and coach the midfield and Patch return as VFL coach perhaps. Or maybe nothing changes and we go again.

People be out here naming coaches like we can afford the world.

If we were to attract Simmo we would need to get him on almost nothing but blind loyalty.

I guarantee that he will have more lucrative offers in front of him than anything we can offer.

Also Owen Simpson is how old? We'd probably be lambasted for the potential conflict of interest (while it was fine when we were apparently into Viney).

Just on who I would target, I would be trying to get Hawkins as a specialist coach even in a part time capacity. Senior player who played for a really great system for a really long time.

Might be time for Lynch to step up to an Assistant role?

We need to be targeting the best midfield coach in the competition. We've got some stellar midfield talent but it's where we're falling down and where we can drive team-wide improvement from.
