Don't no if this is true or not?

FORMER Bomber and Cats star John Barnes claims Barry Hall believes the Swans are trying to shaft him to make room for Brendan Fevola.
He says Swans star Adam Goodes picked up Fevola at a Sydney hotel on Saturday for a meeting with coach Paul Roos.

John Barnes, who played for Geelong and Essendon, makes his claim in his weekly column in today's Geelong Advertiser.

Barnes says a friend of his rang him after having coffee with Hall, who has been suspended indefinitely by the Swans because of his on-field behaviour.
"Hall was telling my friend that they're trying to force him out the back door because they think they've got something else lined up." Barnes writes.

"That's what Barry thinks.

"I think they're trying to shaft Barry for a ne wer model.

"Hence Adam Goodes picking up Brendan Fevola at the hotel last Saturday to meet with coach Paul Roos.

"And they're still denying it. Someone's playing funny buggers."

Would not surprise me at all. Don't forget both Goodes and Fevola played for Victoria earlier this year.

IIRC Fevola was up in Sydney because Alex had a book launch or something similar, so Fevola may have thought it was a good chance to catch up with Goodes.

Of course Fevola would be looking at all his options. After all AFL is a full time job now for the players and believe it or not he deserves good money. Hopefully it will all be sorted and Fevola can keep rolling out the bags of goals.

Reports are going around that Fevola will sign today. Why John Barnes needs to stick his head into this is beyond me.
He was a Geelong player, he's had a long run of trying and failing. :)

It was to interview Mundine for Alex's book on famous Australians.

Hahaha John Barnes, wouldn't read too much in to what that nuffy says.

I heard that Fevola was meant to be signing a contract to stay at Carlton after training today, and truth to that rumour?

######## as a player, ######## as a runner, now clearly a ######## as a Journo.

With Fev going to Sydney, and Hutchy knowing that he was going.....do you think that if Fev met anyone even vaguely associated with the Swans, let alone be picked up at his hotel by a Brownloe medalist......that Hutchies little spies, on a weekend with almost no footy, that we would have seen photos of the meeting.

Do we need a stickied "Fev rumour" thread?
