BLK/Kooga have more incentive to so apparel for footy clubs because they're in the business of making footy jumpers.
All these other companies, Blades, Nike, adidas, Puma, Reebok, New Balance etc are all footwear companies, that make clothing as well.
And none of them are trying to break into the market of local apparel, they're only looking at the AFL clubs.
If you look at who makes the jumpers in the AFL lower divisions, none of those companies are registered as suppliers, yet BLK is.
Kombat, Cougar, Cooper and Graphpak are others, but they wouldn't have the resources of a BLK.
So the only on-selling the footwear companies get is the apparel they sell.
BLK on the other hand not only get that business, but the also improve their reputation with local sports who then get to wear the same jumpers as the AFL teams are wearing.
ISC is the only different player in the market, having come from seemingly nowhere to make the Australian cricket team's apparel 20 or so years ago, they now do only major sports, and the only ones who do so.
I would foresee ISC and BLK being the companies that do more and more AFL teams, with bigger clubs taking Collingwood's lead and forming partnerships with smaller manufacturers to make their own brands as the future of apparel sponsorship.
