Agree always wear that with blue shorts at gmbha stadium. The issue v collingwood wont arise as collingwood will never play at gmbha ever.

When playing at marvel or mcg (whether home or away team) and outside victoria, always wear their current jumper with white shorts.

The Cats jumper is borderline the best retro (more vintage) jumper that's been produced.

The Ford sponsor looks (or is) sewn on, they've integrated the what would usually be annoying Brownlow design well, it's still distinctive to supporters while also being notable enough to clue in the average supporter 'is that a new jumper Geelong're wearing?'

I have long advocated for teams playing with a core look with different elements – Doggies keeping the hoops but playing with the cuffs and collars is great, but implementing stuff like this adds change and variety, sells more jumpers, and still maintains heritage. Hawks not going the full yellow socks and back is a completely missed opportunity. wouldn't even hate Essendon / Richmond going different sash shapes and sizes.

Pretty sure Essendon and Richmond once had different sashs - one was curved and the other straight.

Hawks have definitely missed the boat on going full gold back and gold socks - it's a classic look.

Not a bad shout. I think if they were of the same persuasion as North about not wanting to wear white shorts at home (not a dig btw just an observation) this’d be the perfect jumper to switch to and be able to wear the blue shorts more often. Begs the question a little bit, what shorts will they wear it with? The promo shots have everyone in white and that would definitely suffice but from the front it looks more like a dark jumper. Could absolutely wear it with white shorts, or even cooler would be some era-appropriate black shorts.

If you change those white cuff strips to navy it would look good. The cotton on template really needs a new collar. It's so ugly
