the swans 18s seem to have notre div 1 from 2007... this should make them a serious contender for 2009.. but keeping in mind they will prob lose finnen and preece to bushies.
Think you will find that United has a fair share of the notra boys as well, but no doubt Swans picked up the bulk of them. I think the jury is still out on Preece, really needs to play consistent footy over the whole season to get another invite to bushies. I think he is a chance if he stays fit and dominates.

Doyle,Jordo,Jacko and Sully from notra at united from memory, twelve at swans and couple at nagambie, two at katandra and one at bears.

Expect all bottom age players at clubs to be better players next year, believe they will be up and down a bit as wear and tear takes it toll. They all have the ability to perform consistently at different times of the season. Suppose whichever group can do it more often than the others could make bottom half of finals group. Expect United and Echuca to finish 1-2 with the next group open. Kyabram also have a good mix of talent.

Great research mercedes, Doyley has had a great start and his preseason form has been good. Was in the best first game. Sully plays his first game this week if selected while Jordo and Wrighty are out injured. I have seen a few of the squads this year and although early days I think Swans can play in finals if their list stays healthy. Depth of quality will be their biggest challenge. I was up in the Hills on Saturday actually umpiring and I got to watch Ky vs Mansfield. Ky won by 8 goals but were far from impressive. Pryde played a top game but the rest were in and out. Having seen Swans a couple of times I rekon they are a big chance to beat ky if they play at their best. Pretty open comp this year, don't really know what Seymour are like yet. United have Echuca, Swans, Mooroopna, and Kyabram in the month following this weeks game. Should have a clearer picture as to how good they will be after this. Swans next 3 weeks are tough games against Mooroopna, Kyabram and United. Followed by Benalla, Tatura and Euroa. They could be 6 and 1 after this and looking good or they can be 3 and 4 and back with the middle group. An interesting and challenging month and a bit ahead.

Have heard mixed reports about the game also. It appears Ky are a bit off the top teams such as United and Echuca. Did Ogden play at Mansfield? Interesting to see how they will go against a good side like Echuca this week. Mansfield at best appears to be middle of the table.
