Definitely looks like that. Can't say I think it's an improvement.

The logo itself just looks like a featureless oval to me.

Not a fan at all, feels very very non-descript. I reckon they're making a big mistake ditching the GC element of the logo. I think I've seen several dozens of better concepts on here in all honesty. Are they trying to broaden their appeal by emphasising the nickname over the location? Never a good thing to do, especially when you want to bring in more of that local support as the only team in your city and a team that's trying to grow the sport in the area. Have some pride in that area, right?

Incredible they’ve managed to make it more dated than their current one. It looks old but not in a fun ironic retro way. Looks like its for like a finance or software company in 1993.

I think it’s the logo as a whole that’s shaped like the Sherrin, the circle in the middle is the sun, I guess.

Not fake, this is exactly what was described on the suns board by a poster who was in one of the focus groups ~6 months ago.

i will say that new shade of gold is really nice. hopefully blue is gone from their branding completely and we see a new clash jumper with that gold as a base.

Yeah, from the little icon there I’m not the biggest fan of the logo, but that’s not to say the overall kit and branding won’t be good. I thought they wore their indigenous jumper a lot last season to get fans ready for a gradient heavy jumper and I reckon it looked better than the McDonald’s strip
