There is no Perth show.

"Despite reports in the WA media, there are no confirmed shows on Eddie Vedder's 2011 Australian solo tour scheduled for Perth. Whilst both Chugg Ent. & Eddie Vedder appreciate all your efforts in putting together petitions, the deciding factor must come down to scheduling."

****! Well I just found out you can't add more tickets from other shows the hard way. I searched for Friday first, got row J... Awesome. Then searched for Thursday, got row Q.

Tickets then didn't all go together, so I go to purchase row J first, and of course I ****ed it up and could only do row Q. Buy that, then go back to Friday... "Sorry, no exact matches were found, but other tickets may still be available." :(

Surely I can get something decent if I try again in the morning? :/

totally suffed up with tickets today.

wanted 5 tickets but the limit was 4.

tried for 4 and got them in the stalls but then the site crashed while trying to check out.
then tried again but could only get dress circle.
now im stuck with dress circle...may try on friday for better seats and then try to off load the dress circle ones.

Why three in Brisbane and not Melbourne?

I got row W up the top this morning unfortunately, so ****ing pissed off that I had row J down the bottom.

scheduling?

melbs at the end of tour, brisbane at beginning.

agree there should have been more space left for a 3rd melbs show.

From looking at QTix there is only scraps left for all of the Bris shows (mind you sometimes it says there's none left at all, so go figure).

Mate, they're sold out and I'm ****ing devastated  :(

Brother sat there for 20 minutes this morning, from 9am to 9:20 and couldn't even get in to get tickets. :(

Shit, 33 songs! That's what I love about Eddie and PJ - long sets and low ticket prices. They certainly know how to keep the fans happy!
The ticket prices were anything but low last year when pj played and $112 to see Eddie solo just by himself is about $30 too high.

If Stone Temple Pilots can charge $83 a ticket playing similar sized venues then we are being way overcharged for the Eddie tour.

What were the prices for last years show? I can't remember. Pretty sure it was under $150 tho and anything under $150 is good value these days imo. Pearl Jam/Eddie typically charge a flat rate across all areas of the venue too, so you don't have to pay ridiculous prices for the chance to be up close.

And as I said before you always get a long show with a varied set list so I don't think there is too much to complain about.

The ten club tickets worked out to about $160 each with the conversion from U.S to Australian currency last year. About $20 more than the general sale tickets.

With the conversion rate being what is is at the moment and this tour being ED solo just by himself i think $112 a ticket is about $30 a ticket too much.

I don't know if these inflated ticket prices are due to the band or promoter but for a band who used to talk about keeping prices low they are no cheaper than anyone else these days.

The Pearl Jam/Ben Harper tour was $120.

And I agree, Ed asking $110 by himself is pretty steep. But people obviously don't care because he's so good.

I reckon $90 would be fair an Ed solo show.

for mine the difference between ed and say STP is that ev has had band and solo success over an extended period of time whereas STP have been dormant for a long while.

if they charged say $120 it'd be a bit rich.

However I am wondering if soundgarden tour what they might charge? their return was arguably more anticipated than stp (if only to stop cornell releasing another solo record) so perhpas they would be expensive.

personally, i had no qualms about paying the charge for ev but any more and I may have baulked.

Yeh fair call. I'd pay $200 to see Ed. He wouldn't charge that much, but I'd pay it. I wouldn't go to more than one show though.

I had a chuckle when I read the Chugg write-up of Ed - "notoriously anti-corporate frontman" followed by "tickets: $109". Good stuff. "Anti-corporate" worked before 2000. But not so much now.
