You can go from an associate to a full member with no qualification period, so it actually doesn't hurt his chances of playing for Australia. It's still zero.Get off the grass Italy. You think Tim is gonna knock back a coveted Aussie Baggy Green if offered.

Although, with Joe Burns, Ward and Jake Doran - also mentioned in the article - in the Italian side to play in the European qualifiers in July, it would greatly increase the prospect of Italy making the next T20 World Cup. With that side, you'd think they'd beat Jersey and Guernsey, so it's really whether they could jag a win vs Netherlands or Scotland to make the tournament.
And hey, maybe performing well in full internationals, with a lot riding on the outcome, might actually help him convince Australian selectors to give him a go. It worked for Dirk Nannes and Tim David.
I remember Spencer Johnson was going to play for Italy, but was rapidly picked in the Australian side so didn’t happenManenti x2 as well. Surely could find a quick bowler or two with Italian heritage if they've got names such as Burns and Ward over. I wonder what sort of money is involved playing for a nation like that.
I posted the article in the associates thread but to save folks the time, Peter di Venuto is doing the recruiting. Michael's brother.Manenti x2 as well. Have thought the same since u19 WC. Great prospect alongside Vidler and Beardman.Charlie Anderson nails their best Ben McKinney. Imo, Anderson is a Josh Hazlewood clone who the Blues need to fast track.
Pommies now in disarray.
Won me over in the red ball Junior ASHES in '23. The first leg in Oz from memory. He was still at school I believe or had just left, one of those Sydney hoity toity private ones.Have thought the same since u19 WC.
In that case it may appeal to Tim. You say his chances of that are zero. Disagree. In best career form, 26/27, has a maturing temperament and a solid technique, plus like Usman is a fellow lefty and CA prefers a l/r opening combo. He can also handle the all important #3.You can go from an associate to a full member with no qualification period, so it actually doesn't hurt his chances of playing for Australia.
Dixon did same in the Junior Ashes. Has he strengthened his technique, if so he has every possibility to rejoin his JA team mate Sam Kontas in a Baggy Green..Harry Dicon with a rapid 100 for Vic second XI.
Pretty excited by the next generation prospects. Could be an even better side than what we have now.Dixon did same in the Junior Ashes. Has he strengthened his technique, if so he has what it takes to wear the iconic Baggy Green and rejoin his JA team mate Sam Kontas..
I still have big ? with Konstas and Connolly from a red ball perspective.Pretty excited by the next generation prospects. Could be an even better side than what we have now.
Maybe not as top end like Smith and Cummins, but more depth hopefully.
Dixon, Konstas, Connelly, Vidler, Anderson, Beardman, Green, Weibgen
Just wait for Ollie Peake to come through.Pretty excited by the next generation prospects. Could be an even better side than what we have now.

Knew I was forgetting someone.Just wait for Ollie Peake to come through.
Of course, but for now they're pretty good prospects on paper.I still have big ? with Konstas and Connolly from a red ball perspective.
Harry looks more compact than I recall, more patient too. Definitely has not lost his stroke making prowess.Dixon did same in the Junior Ashes. Has he strengthened his technique, if so he has every possibility to rejoin his JA team mate Sam Kontas in a Baggy Green..
Adding a couple of West Aussie kids, Budge, Hollick to add depth in a few years.Dixon, Konstas, Connelly, Vidler, Anderson, Beardman, Green, Weibgen, Peake
Don't forget Malajcuk mate.....130 odd and a 5 for ain't a bad effort either mate....was WA's leading run scorer at the recent 17's carnivalAdding a couple of West Aussie kids, Budge, Hollick
He’s the best prospect I’ve seen for a long timeJust wait for Ollie Peake to come through.
Polish descent I'm guessing? Interesting. There are a couple of Slovakian's at my club but nothing from Northern Europe.Don't forget Malajcuk mate.....130 odd and a 5 for ain't a bad effort either mate....was WA's leading run scorer at the recent 17's carnival
Sounds like it, not sure TBH. Kicked a couple of goals as an under ager in the 2024 Claremont colts Premiership win v SD.....talented in both sports.Polish descent I'm guessing? Interesting. There are a couple of Slovakian's at my club but nothing from Northern Europe.
Impressive. What's he doing in red ball, 2 day PC for instance, as future Test players are what I am referring to..Don't forget Malajcuk mate.....130 odd and a 5 for ain't a bad effort either mate....was WA's leading run scorer at the recent 17's carnival
