I just looked a few up - Bendigo and Ballarat both have a population over 100,000. Geelong over 200,000. Mildura and several others over 50. It's not like me thinking of SA country towns.
It's a bit unclear on what they define as "Melbourne", as you get a couple of different calculations - but there seems to be about as many people in regional Victoria as there is in all of SA?
 
So the Australian is now reporting that all clubs will be allowed to match NGA bids, good.

So whose that going to advantage this year and when will we get it benefit?

The fact that contract length wasn't already included is ridiculous.
Allowed Daniher to be band 1 who restructure his contact the following year because he wanted Essendon to receive band 1 and B.Crouch to be band 3 with that convoluted trigger clause for a 5th year the Saints used, it would have affected us greatly had we not finish last.
