OK bare in mind I know SFA about NHL and going off "logic" but wouldn't it be wiser to go bigger on the game rather than the 1st period? My "logic" being that if you lose the 1st period you will lose the game more often than not. Now I'm sure I am wrong but don't understand why.

I have won a lot backing first period unders the last 2 weeks. And no if your first period goes over, it doesn't neccessarily mean the game will go over. A lot of times I've seen, the first quarters do go under, then the game total goes over.

Yeah no worries.
First quarter totals are the easiest to cap. Just didn't show it today. Mind you, I thought it was safe until two were scored in the last 5 minutes.

depending on when you post, im not sure how many il get to follow, so i might just have to sit them out, as if i end up picking and choosing the days to follow, il be headed for disaster.

Yeah. I'm obviously on target, just late goals ****ing things up.
The salami lost yesterday because Washington gave up a 4-1 lead in the last period.
The first quarter bet lost yesterday because both teams scored in the last 5 minutes.
It was pushed today because they scored 3 goals in the last period.
The first quarter under lost today because they scored a goal in the last 9 seconds of the quarter.
On target. It will be profitable. Just give it time.

I've been betting on NHL for years, I will try and publish some tips from now on (for some reason I never noticed this thread).
I won a heap on Pittsburgh this morning, couldn't believe I could get 1.80 on them to win at home in normal time against the Coyotes.
They won 6-1, hehe.
I love the fact that Sportingbet (my main agency) has for the first time this season offered "final" result betting rather then just normal time betting, that pissed me off in the past.

The only game I really like tomorrow (Tuesday games US time) is the Atlanta vs St Louis game.
Atlanta have been hot of late, while St Louis are coming off a home loss (all be it to the rampaging Canucks), and have to travel to Atlanta over night.
Everything points to an Atlanta win.
So;
Atlanta - WIN in normal time @ 1.95 x 2 units
Atlanta/St Louis over 5.5 @ 2.00 x 2 units
Atlanta -1.5 @ 2.90 x 1 unit
Hope my recent good run continues.
