Nick Stevens
Dennis Armfield
Jordan Russell
Chris Johnson
Andrew Carrazzo
Ryan Houlihan
Richard Hadley
Simon Wiggins
Mark Austin
Greg Betley
Shaun Grigg
Brad Fisher
Setant O'Hailpin
Steven Browne

Just a few nominations. All deserving, hard to split.

All of those players played against Richmond.

These aren't particularly creative nominations but:

Kepler Bradley
Leigh Brown

I give Kep extra points as he is reasonably entertaining to watch though ....you never know if he is going to fall over with no one within 30 m's of him or perhaps the ball is going to bounce of his hump into his head and into the arms of a passing player.

It is like watching the 100m sprint at the disabled olympics.

Mark Blake is by far the worst player to qualify here, absolute shit, pea-hearted player.

Coming second would have to be Leigh Brown.

Geez Blues Gunslinger... Your hatred of Balantyne has really evolved... He's not even playing at the moment.....

Must annoy you Ballantyne > Yarran ;)

Not sure why the hatred ...Yarran was the best player available for Carlton I mean Rich, Hill, Ziebel etc had already been taken by that time.

Taylor
Murphy
Hawkins
Hurley
Lloyd

Watts to replace one of these top 5 spuds from the list next year if he gets enough games to qualify but i fear he may only get there if vfl games are included :D

Wrong.

Yarran #6
Rich #7
Vickery #8
Ziebell #9

Mate I think professional football dept's no a little more about this caper than you and me?

I know this in an inter net forum but come on give Carlton some credit - Yarran was best available.

Rofl, quite clearly he was best available.:eek:

Just like when they thought Jordan Russell was best available.

Deflection is the best ally of a losing argument.

Clearly best available small forward ...think about it.

Carlton have:
* a very strong ruck division (and young too)
* one of the best midfields led by the AA Captain (which means he was voted the best player in the league by those that know and not the stupid umpires ...Coney FFS)
* Best fullforward now that Hall and Lloyd are retired or retiring
* good backline now they have stolen guys like Johnson and Bentley

Small forward is the only position they need - so tell me who was the best small forward in the draft? Yarran they cry - he has played more games and kicked more goals than the likes of Medhurst and Steve johnson had at this stage in their careers and therfore he will likely be a better player than them in the end.

Rich was gone - yarran makes absolute sense.

Yarran will win a coleman - bookmark it.

Now I've heard it all.

Man you don't know your footy?

Carlton took Bentley from Port and Johnson for Melb ...for nothing. They both play from the back where their pinpoint delviery and silky skills are going to hurt teams for decades (combined not saying they will play for 20 years - though Yarran may?)

Look I hate Carlcensored as much as the next dude, but in yarran you can not fault them.

Seriosuly don't you remember the game against Sydney -- some guy youtubed it here .....the ball was kicked in front of Yarran and he ran and it bounced up and he ran into a the goal and kicked it.

If that scenario happens 50 or 60 times a year - hello to the Jon Colemans medal (plural - not a spelling mistake)

I just hope SOO comes back so I can watch Rich, Hill, Yarran, Nic Nat and Hartlett cut it up for WA
