Barring a major change in events, Naughton is going to Fremantle. It would have happened in the last trade period if Geelong didn't take on the Bowes salary dump.

Three-way trade involving Fremantle, Bulldogs and Geelong for Naughton, Darcy, Ratugolea and picks.

Why else would Fremantle be paying almost $1.8M of their cap between two rucks under the age of 25, if they weren't already planning to ship one of them out?

Dockers want Darcy moved before he becomes RFA in 2024; Naughton is apparently keen to come home to WA and Bulldogs are looking to trade before his final year in 2024 to get maximum value. Cats have wanted Darcy since before he was drafted and each of Stanley, Ceglar and Blicavs will be over 32 when this season commences - as soon as they clear some cap space (from retirements likely), they'll be knocking on Fremantle's door for a deal.

I think Darcy will be a better ruck than Jackson at the end of their careers

Jackson being an under sized ruck at 199cms i don't see as a dominant 1st ruck .

At the same age natanui wins his first AA in 2012 as the 2nd ruck to Cox , splitting time as back up ruck, playing forward and kicking over a goal a game

A lot of criticism for Freos forward line (most of it justified) but they have built a very one-paced vanilla midfield with Brayshaw, Serong, OMeara and Brodie. Its the sort of midfield the eagles recruiters wouldve dreamed of a few years ago.. Also evident in the dogs midfield with Bont, Macrae and Libba all being one-paced.

No guarantee that Ginbey and Hewitt will be any good but at least they have the dynamic attributes required for the modern day midfield imo

Well i said that on the main board a year ago on the J Lo thread. They've built a bunch of one paced pygmies in the midfield and ....Henry is a crab.
