They kept a shitload of their 2022 premiership team on the list. They were bound to jump back again. An easier draw is certainly a handy stepping stone.
Well, if they got an easy draw for finishing 10th, imagine how easy the draws should be for the teams that finished bottom 3?

You're missing my point. Geelong are actually good and had a hangover/had the cue in the rack in 2023. The bottom three are generally very shit. Though the draw did help our rise in 2011 I'll admit.

Ah, I think you've missed my point. Norf and WCE got far harder draws than Geelong did, despite them winning a flag just 2 years ago.

Absolutely kissed on the dick club.

Geelong in 2024

R1 - def St Kilda(2-4) by 8 at alphabets
R2 - def Adelaide (1-5) by 19 in Adelaide
R3 - def Hawthorn (0-5) by 36 at the MCG
R4 - def Bulldogs (3-3) by 4 in Adelaide
R5 - def North (0-5) by 75 at alphabets
R6 - def Brisbane (2-4) by 26 at the Gabba

Beating the Lions in Brisbane is not to be dismissed but they’ve just become the third team this year to do so

The Bulldogs (8th) are the highest positioned team they’ve beaten

Can only beat who’s in front of you but sterner test’s lie ahead for them

The advantage they get from these early wins is the ability to nurse their older players through the back end of the season so they’re fresh for finals
