They have clearly recruited to very specific talent needs, and a particular game style instead of just "we must have high picks". But the key is Mitchell, he clearly coaches them to be very relaxed with the ball in hand.

Meanwhile according to a longtime Blitz poster we offered Jake Kelly a 2 yr contract. If true he did his own version of Dave Myers putting himself into retirement.

There is something crook at the bulldogs. That is a seriously talented list.
yep, surprised the noise surrounding Bevo isn't as loud as it is around Hinkley (Port)

For a list as talented as the Dogs, they have seriously under achieved after potential dynasty talk back in 2016

We offered him one year, hawks offered him two, stoked we kept playing Heppell all the leadership
It wasn’t about the years, it was about the fact that Scott didn’t rate him so he wasn’t going to gamble
His future by sitting in the vfl while
Guys like heppell and kelly
Played. Mitchell made him feel valuable and loved

It's funny (actually it's depressing), we're the opposite of this
I think we have started addressing the endurance part a bit (martin, duursma, duz etc) but boy the first part is concerning. Outside martin and merrett who do we trust with ball in hand?

I don't even trust martin
The thing with martin is at least he goes the aggressive option, it might not always come off but he backs himself.
Mitchell encourages his players to do that.
Scott has coached that out of guys like ridley who just go the short kick or kick down the boundary instead of backing themselves.
