Yeah seemed that way. So that's some BS that the AFL needs to address. The medical sub is a joke, especially at Collingwood. They have form there now.
Richmond are the worst. Used their medical sub in something like 19/23 games this year.. Mind you that could be Prestia in every game..

Just make the medical sub a normal sub but offer a chance to reverse the decision if a player gets injured imo

it solves the problem of a coach going too early and a player still sitting out injured, its not perfect but atleast its less likely to be abused

Just increase the game team to 23

Sydney at their best win the GF but if they perform like that next week Geelong will win.
Sometimes having a easy prelim while your GF opponents have to fight tooth and nail to the last second benefits the team who had to fight to the end like the swans.

Battle hardened's them up for the GF.

What's as infuriating as anything is that not one person in the media as even asked about it when this was the most blatant case of cheating the rules yet. Did anyone even ask Macrae about it in the presser? I'd have killed for someone to ask him if Cox got another scratch on his finger and if he would have recovered from his debilitating finger scratch in time for next week...

Someone did and he said it was some sort of groin injury

I quite like it from a tactical side and there is a big risk taken by Collingwood planning to take out Cox and replace with a small - if they lose a runner earlier there is a massive downside.

Cox was replaced with 196cm Krueger. Who was a big reason they lost the game with his butchered shot on an open goal when the Pies were storming home.

The game against us at Optus, that was a different story.

A good win by Brisbane getting Dunkley. That'll improve them.

I actually think it just means Lyons gets squeezed out. Dunkley's obviously a good player but I don't know if he improves Brisbane a whole lot. They still have significant issues in their backline and on the outside. Port needed Dunkley much more than Brisbane did
