Seems like quite a few people are starting to get behind Harley Feed due to his treatment by the media lately and telling them to lay off him.

The local WA media have been totally out of order the way they have promoted Harley Reid at every opportunity. No 18 or 19 year old should have to deal with that.

Reid is a provocative player on the field at almost any opportunity so that part is on him and his coaches and mentors. A large degree of his on field problems would go away if he concentrated on playing football. Hopefully he can get some good advice and be smart enough to follow that advice.

Reid has always come across as a campaigner. It has to be difficult to block out the noise that keeps telling you even before you are drafted that you are the best 16/17 year old ever. Then you get pumped up every week of your debut season as some absolute marvel, when really on performance he wasn't even on the level of Naicos and Sheezel's debut seasons.

He has potential to be a very good player; at the moment he is a 19 year old that drank his own bath water and believes he doesn't need to be accountable for his rotten attitude.

Yeah his attitude seems a little poor but people seem to be fine with it, was listening to DDF this morning with Lil Rich and Ollie and they both pretty much had the same sentiment that if a fan is giving it to a player the player has every right to give it back just as good.

You're not allowed to abuse a player based on immutable characteristics such as race or sexuality. If he was being abused for those reasons he would have a provocation defence and get off.
In his case, it remains to be determined by the AFL tribunal whether fat and stupid are considered immutable

You have words back. I've had a go at players in the past who have turned around and said something back and nobody has noticed. There was no need to give the finger. If that kind of shit from the crowd riles you up then you are in the wrong profession.
