Should have won.

Utterly dominated periods of the game, especially the last quarter, but wasted chances. Up until the last quarter we made some very poor decisions when in posession.

I dont think North should have won, they had their chances and so did we, the better team on the day took their chances and won the game. Dominated periods of the game? Yeah you got on top a little in the fourth but you were behind by 10 to 20 points pretty much the whole game, fair to say that we dominated the game for a long period of time before North wrestled control in the last.

It was a top game.

North could have won it today if they kick the goal to put them 3 points in front, but there was still plenty of time for either side to win it.

I expected a close game and it happened. In the wet, it boils down to a 50-50 contest. If it was a dry day, I presumed the Coasters would have won by a mile.

Congrats to North though, for a team basically winning on emotion they are still the best Vic side going.

What does that actually mean?

What emotional attachment was there yesterday, or the Essendon game for that matter? Stuff all. We won, and got close because we are good.

That is it.

We played the conditions terribly until 3/4 time. We tried all day, but inexperience and plain stupidity cost us throughout the game.

North two years ago were a good wet weather side. Only a few blokes are left with strong, experienced bodies. The rest are much better under a roof.
