Noble was an assistant at the Dogs like 20 years ago and hasn't done anything since then, that is too long outside of coaching for my liking, that would be worse than bringing Pagan back, at least Pagan was a successful coach. I think you would want to be assisting of late.

If I had to choose someone from that group it would be Adam Kingsley I guess. Has been a Richmond assistant since 2019 as the midfield/stoppage coach and I think the midfield and the way we move the ball in general is our biggest weakness. Not the playres themselves, just the shittruck way we have played since Scott came.

But who really knows, there is no real science to figuring out who will do well and who wont, we aren't going to know until they start coaching.
Just to be clear its 10 years since he coached, not 20, and it was at Adelaide. I'd still like Noble or Simon Lloyd.

According to Garry Lyon, North kept asking Voss to be involved in the whole interview process and he kept saying no. We then asked him to just send a CV and we will contact you if shortlisted, he turned that down too.

Thank goodness that flog wasn't made our coach and good on North for leaving no stone unturned in trying to get the best coach.

thats pretty harsh - ive known him personally since i was 16 - hes a great person and would be a great fit for our club - might not sell as well as the others but his ability to build relationships, listen, educate and evolve shouldnt be underestimated.

Hes got a great understanding of the game and people.

No offence but you also spruiked Voss.

Harvey is no doubt a great guy but why has no club in the 12 years post his retirement gone near giving him a go, including the one he made his name at?

After reading that article on Graham, I'm not going to be disappointed with him either.

The fact that he's committed to the process, willing to uproot the family to the other side of the country that he's fought in the courts to raise and retired from footy at 25 to help look after, says he's all in on the job if given the opportunity.

Seems like a guy of immense character and Brady would obviously know him intimately.

Yes. I asked why hasn't anybody at North ever worn the number 69? Its down right unacceptable IMP. :stern look
I thought of you during the Jordan doco when they mentioned that Rodman wore 70 at the Mavs.
Apparently he requested 69 but the League knocked it back.
To complete the Zondor circle, the final decision was made by chief commissioner David Stern, aka The Look.

Noble seems like a very good option but Kingsley's name is still being mentioned. I don't give a stuff anymore. We held on to Scott for too long, Shaw was a terrible call (in hindsight) so let's just hope we get it right this time.

Hard not to be impressed by Nobles CV. Good mix of coaching at different levels, player development, list management and commercial operations across different leagues. Wouldn't be disappointed if he was appointed.

Didn't Pat Symcox wear 69 for South Africa in ODI cricket? Nothing on his wikipedia page about it, but it did jog the memory of this gem:

"During an ODI against Australia at the SCG in late-1997, play was stopped after the crowd pelted Symcox with projectiles, including an entire chicken."

Edit - It was Lance "No! YES! AW ****!" Klusner wearing 69

Heard Jaymie Graham mentioned as a possibility. Just one question. Who the f*** is he!!??

Fomer Sth Freo Backman, played a handful of games for West Coast then retired due to injury and wanting to look after his family

He is well regarded around WCE, good communicator, solid assistant.. dunno about him as the main man

I think I am more depressed than Shaw looking at our short list. Wasn't Noble the one who managed the Tippett fiasco at the Crows?

It is the Age, but it didn't really seem like he had much to do with it
