You don’t want to know.

Carry on.

My daughter and her friend missed out on the two tickets they were desperate to nab online DURING SCHOOL HOURS when they were up for grabs too. They’re shattered!

School hours, work hours. It’s a privilege to be able to stop and buy tickets. Would be nice if members got 24 hours to buy rather than two before it’s opened to all comers.

I’m surprised how many of the “experts” are tipping Brisbane, not that it matters.
It doesn't matter as you say. Well, it shouldn't matter. But you have to wonder; why are they tipping against the team with the best form?

Do they know something (or think they do)?

Do they feel that the bears are more campaign hardened?

Maybe they feel that the bears will get the rub of the green with umpiring decisions? I'd hope that isn't true but I'm scratching my head in wonder because it really doesn't make sense to see a slew of more than a few percent one way or the other in this weekend's match. Both teams earned their place in the final. Each team is well regarded in terms of talent and ability. North have shown the better form over the season and arguably, also in recent weeks (hard to get a real handle on this however as opposition quality varies).

All up, North Melbourne are worthy of being in the big game and with the experience of last season behind them, the players will hopefully play to their potential, and maybe, they just might prove a few experts wrong!

For the record, I'll tip North, not because they are the team I follow, but because I rate the team for their football ability, their professional approach to games and for the way they have developed a team first mentality.

If Brisbane win it will hurt, but it will be because they are also a seasoned and professional team.

I was watching some of the video content on the AFLW app. Sarah Black, Kate McCarthy at the AFLW awards there was a whole bunch of them. Their saltiness knows no bounds.
If they are so confident, then let them place their hard earned on BNE at a drifting $4 with the bookies 😎

The opening game of the year was a statement to down the Lions by 44 points on their turf. The girls just need to book end the season and execute a win for the ages.

The reasoning seemed to centre around the fact they had won it before and gut feel. I put it down to saltiness.

I think that the girls will come out on fire and put the game to rest in the first quarter like we did Port.

The bookies generally know the good bet.

I just watched CTTG. At this point:

Lucy is backing NMFC.
Sarah is backing Lions "on gut feel, and that the Lions have never lost two games in a row to the same team", which is as much mumbo jumbo as "NMFC thrashed Lions in round 1". They rightly point out that R1 was in August. The GF is in late November.
Gemma points out that this is North's to lose. She is "head NMFC, heart Lions", with a caveat of "ask me again on Friday".

They make some good points about the BL, but in my head we (and they) will look back at that episode and think "we couldn't say the obvious, that NMFC would clean up, because that's terrible tv"

Lots of tips for Brisbane because they have proven they can win these big games.

Last year North probably wouldn’t win because they couldn’t beat the big three and had to get past all three to take the flag. Just beat Crows then couldn’t beat Lions - obviously we all know the factors but in the end lost to them again.

This year it’s very different. North knows they can beat anyone, has beaten Brisbane. and has beaten the Crows twice in tough games to get this far.

Also tips mean nothing.

Theses former players just don’t want us to go through the season undefeated and belittle their achievements.

Thanks to the generosity of the legend that is Luke72 I now have one of the two tickets my daughter requires. Thanks Luke. 👍

Given that she’s only 14 she needs to go with a friend so please, if anyone hears or knows of someone with a spare tkt please let me know. Cheers! 👍

Crocks is a very humble guy, I don't think there is a player in our team who hasn't improved under him and all seem too genuinely love playing for him. A major reason why none of them want to leave the club.

Congrats on the COTY award, it's well deserved.
