I'd say a young tall forward should be the priority.

A mature small defender?

Development talls and ruck?

We're well balanced but time moves quickly, gotta be on the front foot.

I think a tall forward is a must, Shierlaw may have only one season left if she decides to play on, a back up Ruck with McGrath leaving would also be a priority.

May explain why Bella Smith is a rumoured target.

I would think they’re after talls with Emma King and Kate Shierlaw being a bit older. Both had pretty good seasons though.

Both had great seasons but they're also both not getting any younger.

In my opinion it would be negligent to not at least explore drafting or trading in a few younger keys to develop for a few seasons.

You'd think a young key forward to learn off Shierlaw/Randall and younger defenders to learn off and replace that Kearney/Birch/Wright group in a few years.

Emma King is only 10 days older than Jasmine Garner, and both will have only just turned 31 when the 2025 season starts.

There is actually a big 4 or 5 year age gap between our two oldest players (Shierlaw and Kearney both born in 1989) and the next four (Garner, King, Rennie and Wright all born in 1994), so I think the age profile of our list is really good at the moment, but we can always bring in younger players.

I do hope we decide to keep the three youngsters we bought in last season, Stubs (has already signed a new deal), Slocombe and Kavanagh.

Years. I wouldn’t have her for free, even if I was Collingwood or Hawthorn.

4th AA selection in 2022. Finished 3rd and 5th in Melbourne's B&F during their GF seasons. Kicked the winning goal in the 2022 S7 grand final.

Waiting too long to get shoulder surgery (hurt it early in the prelim against us 2 years ago) has burned 2 prime seasons, but has still been phenomenal value for a player on a tier 4 contract.
