It has been proven many a time. But she's not on her own. Anyone who tipped us to lose without a defined vested interest, had there own agenda.

The barracking against our girls this year was bizarre. Can't play in the wet, had a goalless quarter so problems everywhere, injuries that can't be covered, lack of opposition means we're soft, Adelaide showed us up and we got out of jail because they couldn't convert, pressure from being the page setters, and in the end - they're gonna lose eventually so it'll have to be in finals.

We were undefeated with a percentage of 300. There was us, daylight, Brisbane & Adelaide, more daylight and then everyone else.

Channel 7 broadcast you get to hear Kearney saying “we ****ing hate this mob” in the pre bounce huddle so that’s a win.

Same broadcast and commentary although kayo had the Kelli Underwood segments where she tipped Brisbane, while the other women went with North (by slim margins). Underwood then stated as the match kicked off that the result would prove who knows nothing about football, or something like that.

It would be churlish to get too hung up on umpiring decisions after winning a flag but the frustration of those two 50m penalties was exacerbated by the non 50 to Kearney in the third qtr after taking a chest mark and then being taken to ground by heavy contact waaaaaaaay after the contest. That would have resulted in a set shot at the top of the goal square.

The dekoda one was BS for sure but Kearney def went over the mark lol. Was blatant on the replay

Both, I believe.

But in-store the t-shirts weren't available yet (only the pennants/stubby holders etc) and people were ordering them to be delivered to their homes in-store.

Also, noticed Craig starcevich cops a lot of flak here. Know nothing about him prior to this, so maybe it’s deserved. But fwiw I think his post game presser is worth a watch, speaks humbly/well and clearly loves the women’s game.

I think he enjoys playing the 'woe is us' card and has whinged a bit about our list build. But nothing this season and agree he was gracious (perhaps even a bit awestruck) in defeat.

7 of the girls from last night’s side are survivors from our first match in Round 1 2019 (Kearney, Garner, Riddell, Em King, Bresnehan, Randall, Bruton).

I’ll never fully get over the conference bullshit that screwed us over in 2019, or the COVID timing that screwed us over in 2020, but I’m certainly a hell of a lot more at peace with things after last night.
