It is around the same likelihood of a woman leading the country.. look at the US? And the AFL is titled the AFL. There is no competition called AFLM. Thats just some pretentious flog stamping gender on an organisation that doesn’t need to be gendered. Every person and their dog knows the AFL is the mens comp. Dont be a flog.

You’d think a woman would be a senior assistant coach first? With 18 - potentially 20 jobs in the future, its highly unlikely a club will choose a woman over a man. You’ll find diversity roles and positions given out like bon bons at Christmas parties in club organisations, but I doubt that eventuates to the top job.

Yeah quite a good chance that's the case. Wayne Carey being exactly the same. It's possible to empathise with men like this and at the same time, condemn their antisocial actions.

Generally i empathize more with them when they have the ability to self reflect and recognize their own trauma and its effect, but with that particular banned poster and a whole heap of others in the general populace, they glorify and encourage the continuation of such things.

He was just so far out of his depth with us. Incredible he was able to pull some smoke and mirrors over the interview panel to land the top gig at the GC. And I thought we were bad with due diligence in the men's program. How did they not understand he was never going to be able to do that job? Never been a line coach let alone cut his teeth on a team of his own. I'm sure he's a nice guy and deserves to be an assistant something somewhere but it's disrespectful to the hundreds of real coaches across the country that he got that gig.

Could be used as evidence that a bunch of high school dickheads now wearing expensive shirts with no discernible skills, were bluffing their way to upper management.

AFL house, like any place full of pointless consultants, must be full of incomplete duplicate action logs and half started documents restating stuff everyone already knew.

With nobody actually doing anything.

Ok. I guess you couldn’t enjoy the last men’s cup because that was the Kangaroos. Each to their own, this is way too big a joy for me to let anything spoil it.

Her development and improvement has made our midfield better and it allowed Jenna to play a different role and gave her the opportunity to be managed when she needed to.

If there is a Most Improved award at the B & F it’s got Ruby’s name all over it.

I think there are five awards:

Best & Fairest - Garner with 4 wins, Bruton and Riddell with 1 win.
Best Club Women - Garner, Kearney, Emma King, Bresnehan, Amy Smith and Kim Rennie with 1 win.
Best Young Player - Randall, Bateman, Mia King, Eddey, O'Shea and Gatt with 1 win.
Shinboner Of The Year - Emma Kearney with 4 wins and Jenna Bruton with 2 wins.
Next Level Performer (Members vote) - Garner with 4 wins, Duffin and Riddell with 1 win.

The Best Young Player award is for under 21's (IIRC) which may exclude O'Loughlin (who turned 22 just before the start of the season), so Ruby is the best bet.

Why do we have to play the generalisation card?

Every person of a given age bracket/gender appearing as illogically triggered by AFLW is outnumbered 10-1+ on here in terms of people with the same demographics being supportive.

There are 27 current female heads of state. Obviously the patriarchy is still strong, but the times, they are a changing.
