Listened to the W Show on ABC with Sam Lane - whatever rubbish Chyloe has said this season, her bit near the end of this was worth bottling. Said we don’t talk enough about how North started investing in women’s football in 2010, way before the exhibition games, talked up Sonja and Bridget Barker and Laura Kane, knew all the details about the early Huddle support for junior girls footy (like that Deanna Berry was in that program) and the Mugar partnership. Awesome.

Generally i empathize more with them when they have the ability to self reflect and recognize their own trauma and its effect, but with that particular banned poster and a whole heap of others in the general populace, they glorify and encourage the continuation of such things.

So what you're saying is you don't empathise with people until they've recovered enough from their traumatic past to be able to recognise the effects of that ongoing trauma.

Normally you're pretty switched on but that is very silly.

First opportunity to post here, having just got out of hospital today after surgery last Thursday. Had to watch the game on TV from my hospital bed. Slept well on Saturday, dreaming about the game all night long

How wonderful was that performance? What a magnificent team we have in our AFLW girls. So proud of every single one of them. And what a great coach is Crock?

After that first goal from Tess, I had a quite confidence they would get the job done. And what a great game that was from Tess. She is a beauty.

With two more from Alice to quarter time and a softish one to Brisbane, I felt even more confident. The girls were close to doubling them in possessions and the way they were playing, am I one-eyed/biased by saying this is the best ever team to have played in this competition?

Wonderful effort girls. I love you all for bringing us so much joy and a long awaited Flag. As well as setting some standards for the boys to aim for.

Well done to the girls! A dominant performance from the whole group. Feel for the girls who just missed out, but hopefully they can bring the hunger to the group next season to get another one.
Big sigh of relief watching on the couch late in the last that the group got to finish off the year undefeated with a flag.
It will be a big challenge to back it up with teams like Crows and other teams hunting us, but the girls are capable of it.
