Commentary team saying tigers going to be a huge test for roogals …
Yes they have improved …but l think the lack of rest between games is the biggest test.
There's a narrative that needs to be built and repeated, manufacturing consent. If you actually look at who the Tigers have played, the reason they are looking improved is because the have only played weak teams. We will destroy them and it will be fun to watch.

It's almost as if the fitness staff know what they're doing.

Yeah except the one ****ing week they didn’t that cost us two points.

It’s almost like people who live in Melbourne have no ****ing idea about the effects of heat.

They have a percentage of 190 so while they have been playing easier teams, they have been good enough to beat them handsomely. They are probably in a similar position to where we were a couple of seasons ago with a solid midfield led by their two stars (Conti and McKenzie), a strong defensive unit but a little inefficient and disconnected up forward. With Brennan out I'd expect them to struggle even more up forward, and if our forwards can continue to be as efficient as we have been early this season we should win comfortably.

Of course, so far this season we have followed a strong performance (70+ pts and 40+ point winning margin) with an indifferent performance where we have failed to score 50pts. We are due another indifferent performance.

We've won every game by 6 goals or more except the drawn game against the Cats.

Highly recommend listening to this. Bit of an insight into the girls. Not much of a podcast listener generally but did like this

True, but that doesn't mean we didn't put in an indifferent performance against Port Adelaide.

I think that’s harsh. The first half was great. The second half was in extreme conditions where both sides kept up pressure, leading to a lot of fumbles and almost no scoring.

She should based on last night

For instance I’d drop craven over her or Rennie to go smaller since Shierlaw back

But she might be stiff and they do last in first out

Pullar when fit over smith

And that would be my best team
I think Smith’s defensive work gets overlooked, works back hard & is a decent user.

Do you have vendettas against female players as well? I thought Craven played well.

Does Niamh Martin stay in our best 22?
Probably not, I'm not sure she is suited to any other position other than in the forward line, and she currently sits behind Eddey, O'Loughlin, Bruton and Wall in the pecking order.

If Crocker decides to move Bruton back into the midfield or on the wing there may be a spot for her, but with Tripodi's improvement in the midfield and Gatt and Craven playing well on the wings and Pullar to come in as well, Bruton stays at half forward which mean Martin is the unlucky one to miss out.

It's a shame, she was really good night, two moments in particular really impressed me, one early in the first when she stole the ball out of a Carlton players hand and kicked it, almost in a single motion, which Randall unfortunately dropped about 20 metres out directly in front. The second one, was her "point of the year", where she escaped from three Carlton players and still get a boot to the ball when being tackled by a fourth.

Reckon your spot on
