Riddell deserves some praise. Easily overlooked cos she does it every week but she is immense at finding first possession and getting us rolling. Her work rate is off the charts.

Jazzy really set the tone with clearances in that 3rd. Was a champion response in an unfamiliar situation at that point.

Mia King was borderline BOG. Brilliant 2 way mid performance.

Tahlia Randall had the best 4 touch game I’ve seen. Just works so hard to bring the ball to ground and puts so much pressure on defenders.

Between Eddey and Sheezel the number 3 at North is now the definition of class in front of goal.

That first half from Adelaide is probably the best half of football any team has played against us this season and probably the best any team can play against us, and we were able to withstand the onslaught and give it back to them with Mayo and hot sauce. I'm not sure Brisbane or Hawthorn can apply that kind of pressure for a half let alone a full game, and I don't think any of the other finalists will get past the second week.

To get past Adelaide in the first week is huge and as long as we don't meet them again, I'm happy with our position heading into the final two weeks.

Brisbane are very capable as well, as history has shown. That said, our best is better than anything the others can muster.

What about all the htb they got - every tackle and we got about 3.

It must be from the aflw head honchos to try and keep the game flowing but some are so idiotic

Knocked out in the tackle for them, HTB for us. Dragged in by us, ball up for them. No prior for them, HTB split second after tackle for us. No genuine attempt for us, break first but not second tackle for them, ball up. Was total BS all game.

Why aren’t the AFL umpires involved post men’s season btw?? Surely we want the best umps available for the women’s game??

Can we get a welfare check on the commentators?

Nigel was good all night. Was as neutral as you get, but Kate and Abbey were on another level.

Did have a bit of a chuckle how when we looked to have the game won after Ash's late free they just went dead silent.

I turned off the commentary 10 minutes into the first quarter and watched the rest of the game without sound.

So I take it, it’s not worth re-watching the game with the commentary on?

I never knew being favourites and minor premiers could be such a disadvantage.

Agreed, I managed to get College Lawn to put the second half on, no commentary is always the best.

I get them trying to give players a chance but there needs to be some reality, when it's clear 10 minutes in they can't do the job...why keep them for the rest of the season. Grace Egan comes to mind.

I'm not expecting Brisbane to lose either, but I still think Hawthorn is a bit of an unknown. Yes, they had an easy draw, but their percentage suggests they are a lot better the teams that finished 5th to 8th.

I might be Alone but...Hawks annoy me enough that I will support Brisbane in that final. Never thought I would ever say that
