Hopefully we get Friday night as reward for finishing first

They stitched us up last round giving us a 6 day break and Friday night, they can give the lower hawks or port the 6 day break this time

There is a school of thought that says when star male players show up to watch a women's game, it validates the women's game. That kind of sucks. People in the crowd shouldn't be drooling over a star male player sitting on his arse doing bugger all in the crowd when there are star female players out on the field doing things that are worth watching.

Besides which, the only good reason for our entire men's playing list to show up to watch our women's team is to learn something.

Mixed feelings from me too. It annoys me when the broadcaster carries on about men players being in the crowd, but I also like to see men players celebrating the women on Instagram. Not only are they part of the same club, Kearney coaches them, so I’d hope at least some would come along.

I would actually like for the blokes to go to games far more than they do. Like go that often that panning to them in the crowd is next to meaningless because they are always there. Alas they don't.

The men did turn up to support the women a fair bit last year.
Agreed though. It would be good to see them there to support them. One club vibe and all.

Our blokes have long been going to games, I'm not sure where any myth suggesting they don't has come from.

There's also the reality that much of the W season is when they're on holiday too

It only becomes “news worthy” when BGZ is sitting with Harley who was there supporting his girlfriend and BGZ’s sister Yas..

Any other day there could be a couple of the men there and no one would bat an eyelid.

Didn't Toby Pink get along to support the women in the preliminary final the same day he arrived in Melbourne from Adelaide?

yep they usually come support when they are back for their preseason which coincides with finals

thus hopefully the entire list shows up to the prelim

Mostly likely it ends up being just Riddell and Garner while they fill the side with nobodies from sides we flogged by 5+ goals. Hopefully they at least include Alice though, really hard to justify leaving her out just based on raw goalkicking output
