I see North is continuing with their 25 year old toxic masculinity rubbish by drafting Anthony Stevens dud son.
What a joke

Tyson is a rapist, Wayne Carey isn't.

Any kind of violence or abuse against women by a man (be it sexual, physical or emotional) can never ever be justified or condoned.

Obviously no allegations have been made publicly, but do you think you could categorically say, hand on heart, that someone with Carey's record of treatment of women isn't?

I wouldn't bet a dollar on you being right.
I think ever bad thing he has done is already documented as everyone knows who he is.

Right.

And do you think a hypothetical victim of his would be willing to go to the police or make public statements knowing:

A) he has a propensity for violence
B) it's the 90s and nobody takes those crimes seriously (heh, nor do they now, of course)
C) he's an extremely famous person and you'd cop all sorts of abuse from nuffies if you made a complaint
D) all of the above failing, someone or something might just buy your silence instead.

Right.

You're speculating like everyone else does

Did Ben Cousins spend time in jail for supplying Chris Mainwaring or bashing women?

Most of his jail time was for possession of illegal drugs I believe but he also was prone to domestic violence offences and there is a massive question over what happened the night Mainwaring died.

Ben and Wayne have alot in common apart from being gun footy players

I think Ben is about 5 times as bad to be honest.

A pfp doesn't indicate glorification, that's your sh!thouse interpretation.Ben's middle finger gesture is amusing to me.
You are giving Ben air time. You even say its amusing eg, you are giving Ben positive airtime (glorifying him). But you are against Wayne being given positive air time in the Norf vid. You are very hypocritical.

yawn, get new material, your misogyny is boring
Respect to you for admitting it, many other Eagles fans wouldn't. You have integrity (something many Bay flog regulars don't)

Sounds like he's a real Mother Teresa

Look guys, if you don't rate my opinion, maybe listen to Gerard Healy and what he says:

Healy: It's time to allow Wayne Carey to move on with his life.

"I want to begin the program by revisiting the Wayne Carey issue of a couple of days ago. It reignited the whole Wayne Carey public examination that has cost him so many public awards of which he is entitled to, including the recent North Melbourne acknowledgement in the 100-year history tape.

But more importantly, preventing him and those close to him from getting on with their lives without having to constantly be haunted by mistakes of a long time ago. We've all made mistakes in life, and surely Wayne's entitled to move on from his.

He's paid more than enough of a price for the incidents that he has gone through 1 by 1, refuting some serious misnomers, owning and apologising for others all at once.

But seriously, folks, it's well and truly time in my view that we acknowledge that he's paid his price, and the game should acknowledge his contribution in the appropriate ways rather than the last minute call to prevent him from being inducted as a legend of the New South Wales Hall of Fame. It's just an example from last year, just in case somebody without all the facts was offended, or even somebody with the facts.

As he said, you don't get that long for murder. Wayne, good luck. I hope it turns and turns in a hurry."

Well said Gerard , enough is enough.
