Started well in the second qtr and have levelled the scores. Gave their midfield too many easy possies in the first qtr.

How harsh is it to listen to the WA commentators? I know that they're likely to have a bias towards their home state, but sheesh. They can't understand how we're level even though the stats are even.

Roger Hayden on Harris after Harro blitzed in opening 10 min of 2nd quarter was interesting. A move we may have to watch. Petrie way off the boil again.

Bloody proud of our boys. They worked extremely hard to get back to level scores.. and going by Freos first quarter- we should have been way behind, but we are 11 points down- and only because of a free in the last 10 seconds.

We worked so bloody hard in that quarter to get back, and I am friggen proud.. everybody chased, everybody tackled.. and when Harding didn't put in (Sav should have 5) he was dragged, and Petrie explained to him that he should have been shepparding.

Talking of Petrie- he has been good tonight with his one percenters etc...

Third quarter- keep working hard, and get in front- and kick some butt boys.

Very disappointing second half of that quarter. We were well on top and we let them off the hook and then gave away a goal on the siren. Rawlings is doing a good job on Hasleby, but their other midfielders are getting a lot of the ball. We'll need to lift big time in the middle or it will slip away. Forwards apart from Sav have to contribute more too.

Agree Dingster, the ABC commentating was absolutely disgusting. I turned the radio off and jumped on the internet and am now listening to Craig Hutchinson & Paul Salmon on MMM.

Go Rooboys, we really need this one. We know you can do it.

I agree with you Dingster... we should have gone in to half time with scores about level... but Freo could argue that we got a late goal in the first quarter, and they should have been further in front.

We have only one forward at present... very dangerous situation when so many of their main players are getting the ball... They score quickly, and from outside 50 on the run quite easily.

I'd like to see more of a scrappy game. Hope Brown and Petrie can take a few more marks to ease the pressure off Sav.

What game are you watching? Freo's dominant periods have all coincided with Porter rucking against Longmuir, while Petrie has drawn even in that particular battle.

Yeah mate. Not in our best interests running with them over there. I get the impression that if we frustrate them and put some scoreboard pressure on, we'll be half way home. If we let them run, they might blow us away. The premiership third qtr!

i think we have enough to go on with it .....in the 2nd half and win.....but as i told u all early in the week sav will be the main factor in this game.....and he is just proving why he is still such a good player........i agree the W.A commentators are disgraceful and very biased!......and they reckon EDDIE MAGUIRE is biased .....he's nuthin compared to peter wilson and the rest of them !.......this will turn out the same type of game as last week against essendon.....lets hope that SHINBONER SPIRIT shines through and we come through with a win......but we are doing fantastically well tonight so far up until half time......

Kingy's our best player so far.

Arch has started to come into it as well.

We need to get a bit more desperation across the middle, and crowd their runners like we did in the first half of the second quarter.

Junior has tried hard in the forward line but Sav is pretty much playing a lone hand, Sav would've had a fantastic goal only turtle didn't use his head and shepherd the ball through.

Still believe we can win it though.

I have had to turn the sound right down and just sit back and watch the images....all due to the superlative descriptions that Freo. recieves every time it has possession.

Looking forward to an unbiased second half in silence.

Against Essendon we were four goals down and I felt that we were still in it. Tonight I feel that we're in huge trouble. Hope I'm wrong.

Motlop kicks our first for the half.... our backline is keeping us in the game... Watt has been good with the spoils. Kingy and Makepeace providing the run. Arch and Colbert usual good play.

Some inaccurate kicking, but we've somehow got to within striking range... 8 points at the last change..

Backline holding firm... Grant getting free on the wing. Surely our fast players would be fresh... Boomer and Wells should have plenty left in the tank.

Only 8 pts down at 3 qtr time. A sensational effort really as we were really under the pump, but the backline held up brilliantly, esp Skull and Colby. If a few of our younger players could lift in the final qtr, we might steal it.

Seem to be lacking a bit of intensity tonite. There are glimpses but not a consistent effort. The fact we are still in this is a miracle.
