Found their mojo again after going missing for 45 minutes. I had no expectations therefore I didn’t know what to expect. I’ll put it down to laziness, poor decisions and the oppo lifting after a poor first half. They’ll be scratching their heads to figure out what happened. C’est la vie.

Disappointing that our rucks needed to be told to take the footy out of the ruck, but it started to work, and basically turned them into the inside mid we were missing. Atrocious that it took 30 minutes for them (coaches included) to realise that.

That being side, neither one of them would be able to respond to bonafide mobile rucks in the AFL that way, so we need to move them on at the end of the year (or sooner).

+ vpn = watch game (unfortunately). Easy for old blokes like us, too.
A VPN would have done nothing for any non-Victorian in this instance... no ****ing idea why you keep mentioning it.

VPN + WatchAFL is an option, but everyone just grabs Kayo now.

Lots of promising signs from Lebois second game back hey Soapy V. Liked what he did.

Players like LeBois Polson Setterfield Macreadie LOB Owies Cottrell just need to play games week in week out. Injuries and the poor Reserves draw isn't helping. Lots of talent there is they can just keep playing. Kerr who has played more now than most starting to show benefits

Some of the comments on here by people writing off young players IMO shows a complete lack of understanding of how young they are and what it takes to make it. Patience

LOB is a concern. But unlike some here I’m not going to write him off.

Cam Polson has this knack of vanishing for entire quarters.

Garlett sticks 1 out of every 3 tackles.

Those 3 all big disappointments, would want them to be amongst the best in the VFL but really just replicating their AFL performances.

I'm overseas and I watched the game for free (and not with Watch AFL or Kayo). It was all due to your great suggestion on one of the first few pages of this thread.
Thank you for that Jimmae (and you can use as many expletives as you like on me ... you earned it!).

How many times do young players from any AFL side go back and dominate at VFL level? Generally takes time and a building of work. It's still boys against men and that's the biggest issue.

trying to think who that reminds me of ...
There is so much interdependence, linked stage of development and talent.
I'd rather be frustrated about a 1 quarter lapse in either team than 4 quarters of mediocrity, or 4 quarters of shambles.
The destiny of both teams is inextricably connected and eventual success of both teams will be a reality.
I am glass 90% full, leave 10% for the occasional **** up.

*Kerr and Schumaker head and shoulders above all listed players both were really impressive with their clean touch body work, decision making and disposal, both had great all round games
*Lang's game slowly building into a better 4qtr effort still not quite there, got to some good good areas with his decision making and kicking pretty good, still 2 weeks off fitness wise
+Setterfield's aerobic base still miles off lacks spread both ways, got some nice touches but ball handling wasn't really clean, needs a 4week block minimum
*Macreadie his aerobic base is also a fair way off, basic turnovers by foot and one on one bodywork and positioning needing work, surprised he was called up last week nowhere near ready, needs 4/6 week block
*O'brien his game today seems like he is lacking a little in confidence, he did a few nice things but got caught with the ball a lot, and his awareness around him in close was poor obviously needs to build up physically, not a great game..
*Garletts pressure at the contest was great today like his game physically, still getting a little lost between contests either going up third man or covering an opponent would like to see him with more run and carry...
*Goddard was pretty solid today, he's strength of cutting of the ball was good still needs work on his one on one contests was one of our better players today
** our tackling as a whole still is a problem both technically and aggressive pressure
** Great having NB's on earlier to watch as part as the double header...

Because VPN services cost money ($5-$10 a month, usually prepaid in lengths of time spanning 12-36 months), and changing the postcode used on a website does not.

Maybe Chip can pay the $50+ a person is out because they followed the given advice without any change in the result?

That's fine, and that's useful for you. It's not useful for someone in Australia, which is what you were specifically dispensing advice about.

My advice regarding WatchAFL is (obviously) for AFL games.

But I'm in Melbourne! At least that's what my server says. Pretty sure a computer user in Queensland could be told the same thing.
However, seems like it's only good for live televised VFL games, and not AFL. But there's still all the other (less stressful) content to watch on the channel, instead, which again, I wouldn't be watching if not for you.
So thanks for that and all the other great information you post. Much appreciated!!

A disappointing result in the end, but I'm enjoying the growth being demonstrated by both Owies & Cottrell. Owies now hitting the scoreboard is a real positive.

Although not a huge game from Le Bois, he looked a lot more invested today than any other time I have seen him. He worked well up the ground to be an option while also hitting the scoreboard. It would be nice to see him string some games together.

Kerr is becoming an absolute boss at VFL level. His body language exudes confidence & self belief. Getting a game at AFL level could be problematic though. He would most likely only play if one of the 3 tall forwards isn't available & if JSOS isn't playing in the forward line.

Schuey must be getting close to a senior debut. The only thing perhaps holding him back is a bit of inconsistency during games.

Setters looked very good at times today, but also had some less memorable moments. I would expect him to have at least another couple of weeks at VFL level before he is back in the seniors.

Lang went in & out of the game. He kicked a nice goal early on & applied some good defensive pressure. I think he still needs a bit more time at VFL level before he should be considered for an AFL call up.

From a NB viewpoint, I liked Oscar White's game. His disposal let him down at times, but I liked the way he continuously cracked in.

After today MM will be playing 2s

tell you this for free, I see that pinky finger routine again this year I will be invading the ground, armed and with intent..........
