i really really want to start a tac cup preview thread which is just a quick bio on every tac cup, their key players and their chances, similar to wat the herald sun do when previewing the english premier league/ a-league/ NRL.
BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUut i realised it was too early, so im going to raise up a club simlar to the Western jet, Sandy Dragon and Northern Knights threads to get some feedback on players and everyones general concensus so that by mid feb hopefully i can have a tac cup preview thread!

Anyways onto north ballarat. I really like their chances this year. have the likes of Pete Weir, a bottom ager comming off a broken arm last season, but still managed 1-2 games of TAC Cup footy last year. Matty Austin and Ryan gurton are tohers similar to that, both were Vic Country U16 Reps last year.

Then you have the stand out Shaun grigg who will probably lead the side this year. they also have a few bottom agersbecoming top agers that will step up and be important to their chances with the likes of James Frawely and Lachie George. Wat does everybody else think?

i also think nth ballarat will be a force this year, they keep a fair amount of their side from last year. it also was a plus for them when grigg didnt get drafted.should be a force himself, logical choice for leading the side. they also have players such as matt tyler, horbury and mchugh, them players should be the cornerstone for them this year.any other thoughts?

Two other players for the North Ballarat rebels this year that will have a big say in how far they go this season will be the Brown twins,Mitch an Nathan. Both are very talented sportsmans an both could win games for there side.

yeh johnson_26 i think they will be a pretty strong team in 06 lol.
6 u16 vic country reps, in the top 30.
tim houlihan and matt austin are obviously good botoom age players .
austin had a taste of tac cup last year as a 16 year old.
houlihan ais member in 05/06. great athlete. lightly built wingman at only 70kg although has the frame to develop at 187 cm.

peter wier, bottom age, u15 all australian, in the mix to be drafted.
Would have to say he would be on AIS/AFLi f it wasnt for a broken arm. from jeparit/ rainbow fc. tall forward great markin capacity and great kick for goal.

shuan grigg and matt tyl;er. i think alot will be posted on him this year and alot of people alrteady now of what he is capable of. were both unlucky not to have been drafted in 05. members of the Ais/AFL academy.
another bottom aged player is james delahunty, good size 189 and 80 member of vic country 05. will be kee to prove his worth this year.

james frawley, tall wingman at 190cm looking to become an onballer in 06. goal kicker.
nathan brown . great prospect. key position player. 193. will hopefully show the tac cup what he is capable of this year.

GREAT IDEA Some of the tac club wedsides do not give enough information and your idea will fill in the gapes. The quicker you start the tac cup preview thread the better

Report on intra-club match between Wimmera and Western region squads now uploaded to http://araratfc.vcfl.com.au

The vast majority of the Rebels squad of 40 will be based in Ballarat but perhaps a few of the lads in this game will make the squad in 2006. Ben Williams and Jarrod Searle played a few games last year and will be thereabouts again this year. Obviously Houlihan is a future squad member of note.
