Yeah, they basically played him as the forward and Keps as the ruck. That was a very strange one. As for not ready, ridiculous comment given where he played.

He wasn't ready to play forward in that game, but he is now starting to learn how to play as a forward at WAFL level. His last month as a forward has shown he has really started to come on. Kicked a bag of 5 goals straight in one game and kicked 2 with 5 contested marks on the weekend (including spending 30% or so game time in the ruck each time).

Imagine how he will go once he bulks up a bit. Still mid-80's which is very light for a 203cm guy.

He was superb yesterday, he definitely should've played against North. For such a giant monstrosity of a man, his leaps are great. I've never been a fan of Zachary but he won me over with his performance.

Spot on Krugs...I recon.the selectors stuffed up,why wouldnt you play a guy whos 203cm and is a ruckman...against North who have one of the better ruck combo's going around......playing Keplar and Johnson against those two was just plain stupid, also playing Bollenhaegen instead of giving Walters a run is questionable. This may sound like a good idea after the event.........the problem is I was thinking this way before the event!!

Yeah that's my line of thinking. McIntosh has always been a good ruckman, top 5 in the league imo, and Goldstein is seriously underrated, it seems really stupid why we didn't play him. I like Bolly but Walters adds something extra to the team, we really could've used him. Here's hoping Harves and co learn from their mistakes and play Clarke next time!

Thought this was worth a giggle:

Taken from the WAFL whispers page of the west.com.au

We hope Zac Clarke's breakfast didn't get cold.

East Perth players and officials in Darwin for the Foxtel Cup quarterfinal were staggered when they saw what the Fremantle ruckman was required to do to ensure he was in tiptop shape for the match.

After getting his breakfast, Clarke took a photograph of the food and emailed it to the Dockers nutritionist for assessment.

It was only when he received a green light that Clarke was able to hoe into his tucker.

It is not known how many unauthorised hamburgers big Zac consumed once he got to the game but it is understood he did not email them back for permission to eat (This line is a joke and is not to be taken seriously. Seriously.)

Whoa, that's intense. But it shows just how serious the Freo nutrition guys are, that's a great sign :thumbsu:

And equally importantly it shows how professional Zach is (if it's true, that WAFL whispers shit seems a little dodgy).

On the other hand it probably doesn't speak volumes for his intelligence if he can't remember it for himself. ;)

STFU. What the **** do you know?

Think the original comment was at least partly a reference to Viv Michie.

Stress fracture/beginnings of stress fracture in his foot went undiagnosed for a few weeks, and he was allowed to keep playing until they finally figured out what it was. By the time they did, he'd developed a season ending stress fracture.

I realise that. I just think it's a bit unfair to say shit like that when he doesn't have a PHD or know the full situation.

Was pretty good again today I thought - missed an easy goal and only had 13 possessions but was involved a lot of the time and had 7 tackles which is good for a big guy.
