I notice a lovely ranga marmalade cat wandering around outside my house. Go outside, call it back "hey puss puss" in a very friendly tone and sit on the ground. Cat meows at me, walks back to me (from over 10m away), I give it my hand to sniff, sniffs my hand, then decides "no you are a scary person" and takes off.

When does your holiday period and house sitting begin?

3 weeks.

But unfortunately my house sitting is hanging on by a thread. The coordinators mum and dad have butted in saying they want to take care of the house now. I will know a certain "yes or no" next week.

It's only for a week tho. Might just take off to Apollo Bay or something if it falls thru, anywhere I can get cheap/reasonable accommodation.

Which unfortunately might mean sharing a dorm room. Everything down there is too expensive.

Apollo Bay is very nice, you'll get a good few weeks break though so that can't be bad
