I have a terrible memory, had we already had the telethon and family day by this time last year?
Family Day was on December 14th, 2013, so yes. Telethon tends to be in March I think.

Has anyone seen #getreal anywhere? I haven't outside of that AFL.com article. Has Heath and co got something up his sleeve re membership marketing?

Speaking of that, are we really using #getreal as a hashtag? I had a quick browse of it on insta and people use that tag all the time for nothing in particular. #NMFC works well, but it puzzles me why they wouldn't use something linked to the club like #hearts2hearts, etc for a membership campaign.

I've got a baby due in May (well my missus does, but I put it there) so we can add one more to the tally then. Just waiting to confirm name and I'll make the call. Come to think of it, we can breed our way to 60k members. From now on CONTRACEPTION SHOULD BE BANNED FOR ALL NORTH MELBOURNE MEMBERS!

Well, we are the Irish Catholic club after all.

Sorry to butt in but there was thread sometime ago about the ethic and religious origins of the Richmond FC that you might be interested in as there were also a number of references to North's shared origins. Hope you might find some of it of interest.

My understanding is that Richmond, south of Richmond Hill and into Cremorne, was predominantly poor Irish Catholic as the waste products from the up the hill would run down through the poor housing areas, which were populated by the poor, Irish Catholic families and into the Yarra. That area was more a base of Irish families than Collingwood and Fitzroy.

We could run out onto the ground to Monty Python's Sperm Song!

For 3 years I bought a baby membership while we were trying. Figured I'd just change the name if and when it happened.
My first is due in August (just in time for finals campaign) and has been a member for 6 years now (off the back of the post GC push). I'm assuming they will let me change name and birth date when the time comes.

I just started a 'fresh' membership the year my first was born. Didn't want him being 5 years ago and getting the 8year membership badge.

St Ignatius ( I think )RC church in Richmond has a stained glass window featuring Mary Mackillop holding the had of a boy with a Richmond jumper on. Essendon FC I believe has very close associations with the freemasons.
